I was so looking forward to this tour! Our friend from Virginia / DC was coming to the Triangle to join us for dinner with a member of UNC's charitable giving office and I thought a tour of the campus was the ideal prequel to dinner.
As there were no college tours available through the admissions office this seemed ideal.
I registered for the 3:30 Sunday schedule to meet at the sundial of the Morehead Planetarium. There were twelve slot available - I asked for three.
When I had no e-mail confirmation, and no response to my e-mail to the tour guide (at the address listed on the web site) I checked the registration web site again and saw that there were nine (9) openings left and so assumed that I was registered (12 minus three is nine).
We arrived at the planetarium at 3:20 and waited until 3:40 and figured that our request had not gone through.
So, lesson learned: (1) Make sure that the site is working completely, and (2) If there is no confirmation there won't be a tour.
