Fantastic local space for community events such as the farmer's market, concerts and festivals. You could probably get married out there! When I was a kid in the 1973-1975's, me, my mom, and dad all played softball on different teams on the baseball field. Carrboro also used to put on a yearly carnival in this space. It had a ferris wheel, great junk food, games and lots of other fun rides. You got to see all your friends! BRING BACK THE CARNIVAL!! For concerts, its nice to sit out on the grass to hear good music of any genre...just chill in the zone and feel the evening breeze. A...

I have visited the Carrboro Town Commons for lots of the regular programming - Farmer's Market, Really Really Free Market (just stay after the Farmer's Market ends), Carrboro Day, Fourth of July, etc. Always a good time. I appreciate that they leave the electrical outlets live and unlocked. I also appreciate that against the Carrboro Town Hall, there are lots of compost collection bins which are usable at any hour. I used to rush to make it to the Farmer's Market to drop off my compost, but since discovering that, the...
