Koala Craft — Attraction in Chapel Hill

This was SO much fun. My husband and I love doing “craft” dates and when he saw a tik tok about rug tufting he was SO excited to try it. I couldn’t think of anything I really wanted to tuft, so my husband tufted while I painted a glass night light. They were so accommodating and even got me a tiny table so I could still sit next to my husband without having to share the tufting table and have the vibrations mess with my painting! Apparently they do birthday parties here, which has for to be a little girls dream. Koala Craft was such a vibe! My girlfriend and I went to make a rug, and it ended up being a great experience!! The space was super cozy, and the host made us feel right at home from the second we walked in. They explained everything so well and were super patient, even when we needed a little extra guidance. You can tell they really care about making sure everyone has a great time.

The whole process was surprisingly relaxing – it felt like we were just hanging out, being creative, and having fun. The rug turned out amazing, and it’s something we’ll actually use, which makes it even better. Highly recommend this if you’re looking for a fun and unique date idea or just something cool to try.
