This place has gone down hill. I hate to see it! A couple of years ago they were on the verge of closing down. My family has been a faithful supprorter of this theater and probably have been 10 times just this year. The theater is filthy and each time it gets worse and worse. They are constantly out of something at the concessions, lines are long and we arrive at least 30 minutes early to buy tickets. We don't prefer to do online since they charge $10 extra to purchase online. There have been times we have had to leave due to long lines and the movie starting before we can buy tickets even after arriving so early. We bought a $10 bag of popcorn and were told no refills due to being short on popcorn and they needed to save it for new purchasing customers.... So why are you charging the same price if I can't get a refill? The theater was not cleaned after the last showing, leaving tons of trash on the floor and people having to throw cups away from the previous showing. The smell is horrible as there has been no remodel since opening many, many years ago. The door was left open during the showing and you could hear all the other movies playing while trying to watch the showing we were in. Arm rests were broken and constantly scratching our arms while watching the movie. Trash over flowing in the halls. The bathrooms were disgusting and had toilet paper everywhere. It just really is sad to see something this town needs so bad to be so poorly managed and run down. I would rather drive 25 minutes to the next town over and go to there theater than go back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAverage theater with adequate accommodations. Nothing fancy and some of the screening rooms are much smaller than others, but this type of set up appears to be common at many theaters. Screening room sizes vary depending on expected crowds and ticket sales, for example a movie not drawing large crowds may be in a smaller screening room than one that is more popular. You may end up in a small screening room but it's still an okay place to see a movie. Theater does not appear to be as bad as some reviews on here make it out to be. Other than it being "dated" in appearance, we've never experienced any problems with weird odors, blurry screens or poor sound. On past visits I thought the sound was a little loud. I like to be able to hear the movie, but when the bass is rattling your seat or your ears are ringing when you leave the movie it's a little much. Lines for concessions can get long and slow during peak times (evenings /weekend nights) and can usually be avoided if one does not arrive at the last minute and then scramble to get their refreshments before entering the movie. Prices for food and beverage items are average for a theater. If I had to point out anything negative about the theater experience it would be the loud, rude, and usually unsupervised kids which you may encounter during the evenings and weekends. Also inconsiderate jerks (kids & adults) playing with their cell phones and/or refusing to put their phones on silent during the movie. Please do those of us actually there to watch the movie a favor and don't be one...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am highly digusted about my experience at this movie theatre. My kids and I went to the movies today with one of her friends and her mom. As we were entering to watch our movie, I noticed that my little girls who are African American ages 6 and 8 were asked to open their purses so the attendant could look inside. As I approached the attendant, she also looked in my purse. We continued on in the theatre and I could tell that my daughter's friend mom was upset. As we talked towards the movies she said to me "she just checked you and your girls bags but didn't check mine or the the other white lady who went in before us." My friend ( a white woman) said " I'm going to ask what the policy is for checking bags." She returned and explained that they check all bags that resemble book bags, large bags, and diaper bags for security reasons. My friend's purse was at least 16 to 18 inches wide.
We contacted a manager who further explained the policy and said that they want to ensure safety and make sure there are no weapons or anything being brought in.
If there are going to be policies such as this in place, Regal should ensure that these policies are clear and consistent for EVERYONE. While I am not sure what the attendants intentions were, it surely rubbed me the wrong way.
As a result of my experience, I will NEVER attend this theatre again and I'm going to encourage people that believe in what's right to...
