Go somewhere else if you can! I tried this place bc its close to home. I called ahead to request two services for the same day I was told they could definitely accommodate it. I arrive and first impressions aren't great the establishment looks a little run down. But the front desk person greeted me right away asked what I was there for explained I had an appointment. He went to the back to get someone. When he returned he told me to have a seat. The area wasn't very clean but not too alarming that I should leave. When my tech arrives there is no greeting she just ask what I'm getting done. I tell her and as she sits down she pulls out quite literally a pencil case with her equipment that didnt seemed sanitized. She immediately starts to try talk me out of the services I requested for one that requires less labor. I state my preference to continue with what I booked. She asks me to pick a color again I pick the one I like she tries again talking me out of it which was a cat eye which requires some additional steps. She says how, " its not very pretty on short nails". I tell her thats the color I would like. From a business perspective im dumbfounded because she has now tried to talk me out of two higher priced services for ones that are significantly cheaper but dont require as much time. She then is very rough with my hands and nails to the point I literally say ouch twice. She puts my hands in what I can only describe as half a bottle of acetone then walks away without saying anything. Finally comes back let's me know what she is doing this time. Finally we get to the manicure portion of my visit again she's very rough with me. We get to placing the color I tell her that's not what I selected if she can double check. She keeps telling me that's what I picked, its cat eye. I try explaining I did select cat eye but not that color. She throws open the color book to point at what I selected. I tell her that's the color but it seems the color she pulled doesn't match. She finally gets someone else to come over they tell her she picked the wrong color. All this time the nail salon is pretty dead with only 3 other customers so she was creating quite the commotion. The other employee shows her the correct one and she comes back no Apology just starts removing the wrong color. She applies the correct one tries to tell me when the color would change. But at this point I'm too upset and embarrassed by the exchange that just occurred and I just didn't respond. We finish in silence then when it's time to check out even though she doesn't have any other clients she makes someone else check me out in the middle of them completing a service for another customer. So very rude, and not to mention my nails are just ok I could've done the same at home. Cuticles could've used some work and my hands were extremely dry from the acetone. Will not be returning and I do not recommend this salon. I will continue to trek it...
Read moreWent here last night to get my nails and toes done prior to a wedding this weekend. My friend had referred me and we decided we would go together. I felt as if the wait was entirely too long even after making an appointment. I got there at 5 and didn’t get seated until well after 5:30. I understand appointments can be pushed around a little bit due to walk ins but, I don’t mind sitting down and relaxing with my feet soaking until the people can become available! The lady who did my feet really, really hurt me. I was practically digging into the chair with my hands with the amount of force and time she spent picking at every nail and my feet. I got a separate younger girl for my SNS on my nails. She kept twisting my thumb and I thought it was going to break! I didn’t have time to keep mentioning it to her because it was so brief and I thought she would finish my thumb before it mattered to bring it up. Also, I felt as if her English was broken so I didn’t want to offend her. She said I moved and ruined my thumb SNS and so she had to “fix it” and she worked on it for another 10-15 minutes. I told her that my thumb needed to be thinner but, she must have thought I meant my whole hands - she tried to argue with me! SNS is $45. (I normally get my SNS done at place in Durham for $33 but my friend wanted to go here and I wanted to try it out!) anyways, $45 is a lot - I would like it to look decent and not feel like I’m wearing acrylic nails. Then she abruptly got up and I believe the manager finished the job for me. She was very kind, polite, and asked me about my engagement. I just felt like the price was really high for what I got and what I endured. I also didn’t care for 3 different people working on me and talking the entire time in another language and laughing the whole process. $74 later my feet are incredibly sore today and very tender. I would just proceed with caution. I wish I had had a better experience- especially trying to enjoy an evening with a...
Read moreThis was my 10th visit at this nail salon. I’ve always had excellent pedicures here from the classic to the lavender, all of the nail technicians have been wonderful. I’m so disappointed to say that today I’ve experienced the worst pedicure of my life.
I had a 4:00pm appointment that I booked online. The technician that I had was very young, kept calling me “bro”, and was literally playing a video game on his phone while he was giving me a pedicure! I had yellow polish on my toes from the last pedicure I had here. The technician was scrubbing them with a tool and I told him that it was regular polish, not shellac. He said I know, and kept going over them with this metal tool, which was a little painful. Then he cut my toenails with the polish still on, removed the polish, and barely filed my toenails. He tried scrubbing my feet awkwardly, which was very ticklish so he just stopped. Then he took some water out of the foot bath and put it all over my legs and rubbed them down with a scrub and then removed it. I received no lotion, and then he placed hot towels on each of my feet.
The technician said that something bit him and went into the back room for a while. When he returned he was playing the game on his phone. I felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode. There were no other customers or employees working when I received my pedicure which was strange because they are usually busy and it was only 4:00.
When the nail tech painted my toenails it was very rushed, he barely let the base coat dry and he began applying the polish. I’ve included pictures so you can see the rushed paint job, my dry feet and yellow nail polish still visible from my last appointment. I also have a rash from the aggressive scrubbing.
I let the polish dry under one of the dryers but it was hard to see the details due to dim lighting. When I got out to my car in the sun I was very disappointed. My feet were much better off BEFORE...
