this is my third time going, Itās Motherās Day weekend and I received this third visit as a Groupon gift for Motherās Day. I received a massage and then I added it on a 30 minute facial that I purchased myself. The man that did my massage as always was absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend him. He is the very best. Unfortunately, it is very sad because the woman at the front desk and older woman, Was incredibly unprofessional she first told me that my facial was $30 but then charged me $42 on the receipt and then when I went to put my tip, she hounded me for more money and told me The amount that I left was not enough tip because Groupon does not provide tip. The Groupon in itself was over $100. Anyway, I tipped $10 because I was going to tip $20 but I was Charged for my facial that I added on a bit higher than I expected. This lady literally repeatedly told me that that was not enough and that it was wrong because he spent so much time with me. Itās really unfortunate because the person that gifted me this worked very hard To be able to get me this gift. And it is not often that I get to have a massage. I was looking forward to it so so much and I really enjoyed it Because my masseuse was absolutely amazing as he was the previous two times. I hate to go back because I really enjoy the service, but this woman really ruined it for me and made me leave honestly wanting to cry. It was really upsetting how she treated me. I see in the reviews that this sometimes tends to be something that happens to other people and I read the response from the spa saying three strikes and youāre out If somebody hounds you for more tip, they fire them. This lady gave me owner vibes. Iām not sure. Because everyone else that has ever worked with me at the front desk did not hound me for tip. anyway, makes me sad because I really enjoyed it and Iāve told a bunch of my coworkers and friends about this place. Please, I highly recommend that you officially have the front desk person that complains for tips to stop! The services you provide are great, but those unprofessional words at the end were so disappointing & made...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEDITED TO ADD - after WRAL did their special about illegal massage businesses in N.C., I looked up this "business" on the N.C. Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy website and this business isn't listed as a licensed practice.
My husband and I love going to Relax Foot in Raleigh but was looking for something closer. We decided to try this and we were pretty disappointed. I called the week before to make an appt and that was a little chaotic. So then we show up and there's confusion. We tell them we had an appt for 2 foot massages at 1:30 and one of the ladies looked panicked and called someone (apparently it was the other employees to come in?) They made us pay before anything and I would've left then (I'm a service provider and I would never charge before) but my husband pulled out his card. Then they charged extra for using a card with no info before hand. They walked us to a room with two beds and I repeated we wanted foot massages, not full body. After a confusing exchange they walked us back up front to the chairs. Other employees came in and they started our massage after soaking our feet in little tubs for a few minutes. During the massage a male employee was eating his food a few feet away really loudly which is not what you think of when you think of a relaxing atmosphere. Then some man comes out of the back room and when he was trying to leave, his massage therapist yelled "nothing for me??" And basically forced him to tip her. It was chaotic and not relaxing at all. The massage was fine but not great. They only do your legs and feet. Other reflexology places usually do your hands too. When we were leaving, same lady who yelled at the previous guy was trying to force us to leave a review right there, which I guess is how they have so many 5 stars. I'm still disappointed we spent that much money on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe massage was good. My only problem is the lack of professionalism. They are only 2 people working so the lady was constantly on her phone and texting and answering phone calls all while giving the massage.
Her phone wasnāt even on silent so it was super annoying. My second problem is a major red flag, after my massage was done she offered an extra 30 min for 30$ so i agreed she instantly handed me my wallet which was on top of my clothes and told me to pay right away. Did she know I had cash in my wallet ?
Because I had no clothes on just my underwear so thereās no way I was going to walk to the front to pay. Anyways when I went to hand her the 30$ she says no itās 40$. There I shouldāve known, but I handed her the 40$. So now that was all my cash she then tells me āwhat about tipā, āitās ok you pay with cardā. In my head Iām like no way.
So massage is finally done, at this point sheās not getting no tip. I walk to the front and she has a receipt already printed out with a ā53$ā tip for herself. I just walked out.
Finally verdict⦠if you go here pay on Groupon have your cash tip ready and leave everything else in the car. Super money hungry and unprofessional
DO NOT SWIPE...
