I came here today with my friend and neither of us will be back, They have the most unprofessional and rudest establishment I’ve ever walked into. I have never been here before today so I am speechless with the treatment I received today.
I asked questions pertaining to the drinks and colors and received what should have been honest. Even within those few questions I noticed uneccessary hostility from the staff. (I guess when you come in they want you to be quiet).
As I was getting my existing polish off, I put in a simple request to get my nails not manually filed all the way down with the machine due to sensitive toe nail beds and the technician walked away and brought me someone else without a word because she was too annoyed with my simple request.
New Technician walks over and doesn’t greet me but says “we have to file your nails to get it off” and I told her that was fine and I expressed that to the other technician but to not please take all my gel polish off with the machine because anyone who gets their nails done knows that this is not how you remove polish safely without hurting the customer. (But by her saying this, I know know the first tech went over complaining about my request which was not ok. It wasn’t a design request but safety request). AT THIS POINT I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE and felt like I was not being a appreciated customer! Imagine being uncomfortable somewhere with your friend, where you are supposed to relax AND get what you pay for. I’m a very nice person, so I continued to be polite and even thanked her twice for assisting me. She didn’t say anything back to me both times (she knew English she chose not to acknowledge me). At this point I figured I would speak with a manager to inform her or him of my findings. At this point I was TRYING to enjoy my time with my friend.
About 20 minutes later, she’s finished with a tacky/uneven job. I didn’t even mention this to the front desk or her because I was over it, but I did want to tell them about the rude staff who walked away… when I informed them of my 1st technician (who was the lady with grey colored contacts) they were already aware (surprise?! NOT 🙄) she told me she was a manager and gave nothing but excuses (girl with the botched bangs and red dragon tattoo on her arm). She completely ignored my concerns and defended the technician. I requested to speak to the owner but she said she was not available but that she would speak for me. Basically sweeping it under the rug.
I let it go and move over one register to pay and the total is way more than what I was quoted and what was on the price sheet. They attempted to charge me for a champagne that the botch bang lady said it was included in my pedicure. (I asked her prior to getting the champagne). Her and the lady by the register start trying to go back and forth with me.. now I’m pissed!
Paid $65 for a terrible job and rude staff. Never again will I come back here!!

Read moreI’m shocked at how great these reviews are. Based upon the reviews, I decided to try it and I will say when I walked in I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the place was. That’s where it stopped. I’ve never been to a place where everyone is so unfriendly. I was seated for my manicure and a young woman came over and started to remove the nail polish. I said hello, and she barely acknowledged me. When she was done putting the foil on my fingers she walked away and came back with some nail color samples and walked away again. I sat there for about 10 to 15 minutes before an older woman appeared. No hello, how are you doing. Nothing. I showed her the color that I wanted. She got it and she sat down to do my nails. Again, I said hello and she said nothing. She had a very worn green container where she kept her nail clipper and cuticle trimmer, etc. When she started to cut my nails, I asked her if the nail clipper was clean, because she didn’t use alcohol or anything before she started to do my nails. She looked me straight in the eye and said yes. I did not see any alcohol around for cleaning. After she nicked my cuticle, I got even more nervous because I knew that she was using unsanitary equipment.Needless to say, I endured about 25 in silence minutes as she did my nails. When she was done, she waved her hand in the air to point to the sink snd said, wash your hands, and there’s the lotion, pointing to the lotion next to where I was sitting. That was it. She walked away. No goodbye, no thank you. Nothing. After the manicure, it’s all self serve. As she left my station to do the next woman’s manicure I watched her pull her nail clipper and trimmer out of the green container and she did not clean her equipment. So she lied to me. No sterilization whatsoever. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left I had less than ten words spoken to me. When I went to pay, nobody thanked me for coming. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable getting a manicure or anything else for that matter.I honestly can’t believe everyone raved about this place. Despite how beautiful the atmosphere was, The people were not kind or thankful for your business. I will not go back.
To management - it’s easy to respond to your good reviews. If you want to improve and win back clients, you should address the negative. I always give feedback good or bad, because feedback is a gift. Without it, you...
Read moreI will NEVER step foot in this establishment again.
I had my nails done at Nail Kitchen on the evening of Friday, March 21. From the start, I expressed that I was unhappy with the color and quality. The nail tech told me he couldn’t fix it that night but suggested I wait a few days and come back if I still didn’t like them.
By Sunday, March 30, they were already chipping, which is completely unacceptable for a full set with dip base, tips, gel overlay, and chrome. I called the next day, Monday, March 31, and was scheduled to come back that Thursday at 1:15 PM.
I arrived on time, only to be told the tech was with another client and asked if I could come back in 30 minutes. I said no, as I had a work call at 2:30 PM. He then told me he could only fix the two broken nails, not the full set, even though he had previously said he’d redo the full set for free ( my friend who works in Spa was on the phone with me when it happened and heard him say it, because she said he said he wasn’t willing to stay later to fix them.) He asked me to speak to the manager and said he’d still do the service if she approved.
I called the manager later that same afternoon. She agreed to comp the set, as long as the cost didn’t exceed what I originally paid. I even offered to tip on the complimentary service. She said she’d speak to the nail tech (who had already agreed) and would call me back.
She never did. When I followed up on Saturday, she claimed she didn’t remember our conversation. She said she had talked to the owner, and now the best they could do was offer me a 30% discount.
This is beyond poor customer service. I’ve been a loyal client who always tips generously, and I was treated with total disregard and no accountability.
Let this serve as a warning to anyone considering Nail Kitchen: they do not stand behind their work, and they do not treat customers with the professionalism or...
