From the moment you walk in the impossibly oversized copper door, the Crawford Brothers steakhouse experience begins. The restaurant is certainly contemporary and upscale, but without feeling at all stuffy or pretentious. The restaurant feels both incredibly comfortable yet is sleek and sexy while being designed wonderfully for conversation- which is an attention to detail that I find important and often overlooked in many of our local fine dining eateries.
The staff are all highly trained professionals who very clearly enjoy being part of your dining experience with impeccable knowledge of the food and a gift for making you comfortable all while offering genuine smiles and interactions that make you feel like you are at the corner deli. The sheer number of staff dedicated to your steakhouse experience working in synchronized harmony is impressive in and of itself. The Crawford empire of restaurants of which I have been a regular and fan of for over five years, continue to build on the concept of exceptional service and sumptuous comfort and style. But on to the food! From the perfectly spherical and almost pillowy duck meatballs lounging in a deliciousy perky red sauce and covered with enough cheese to let you know you are going to have a full belly when you leave to the Wagyu beef served appetizer style leaving you wonder how you have lived 49 years without tasting such a delicious cow, the food comes in beautiful waves presented elegantly, but always with the Crawford touch that has never been done exactly like that before. The snow crab appetizer with a silly smooth potato froth will have you asking what the hell Alaska has been doing all these years and missing this pairing. The filet, expertly seasoned and cooked with the perfect amount of sear to a spot-on medium rare was elevated by the half dozen beautifully crafted sides that our party tried which each had a classic component and a delightful twist that only Chef Scott could make you realize that “of course, the sweet potato soufflé should have a whipped goat butter and a touch of maple syrup !”
Lastly, a night out at a Crawford experience Would not be complete without at least two desserts to share. Despite having no gastric room left for food, I managed to eat my share of baked Alaska, a chocolate and vanilla soft serve sundae that would have the Dairy Queen herself scratching at the freezer, and a ginger cheesecake that was atop a wonderfully crunchy and robust ginger snap crust and topped with a medley of fresh citrus and a Carmel citrus reduction that brought the flavor in through the huge copper front door.
An overall wonderful evening out with a satisfied waddle to the car and giddily full belly waiting for the next Crawford meal.
Thank you Chef and staff for another outstanding...
Read moreAn overall disappointment. To preface this, my wife and I have had dining experiences across the country coast to coast. We have toured at least two dozen or more elevated steakhouses throughout our travels. Furthermore, one of our favorite restaraunts we have ever visited is none other than Crawford & associates restaraunt Brodeto. Consequently, we were anticipating the opening of this elevated steakhouse experience for quite some time. My wife and I also have no qualms about pricing if the experience is truly elevated and meets expectations/comparisons.
That said, this new iteration from Crawford hit nearly no marks in any category. Our appetizers of bone marrow and crab cake were underwhelming with the bread served with the bone marrow having an overpowering taste over the marrow. The crab cake was also overpowered by its sauce it was served with as well. Our Caesar salads were a high point and proved to be the single highlight of the night that seemed truly thought out in it's presentation, taste and design.
Then, the wait came. 15 minutes. No. 25 minutes. No. 35 minutes later our steaks arrived followed by another 10 minutes before our sides arrived separately from our steak (our waitress apologized twice during our wait). My wife had the filet and I had the American Wagyu Coulotte (which was a change from the menu provided online at a much higher price point than it's replacement). Both steaks were cooked to the proper temperature and were OK but neither of us were impressed by it. It was. They were steaks. The coulotte is a fancy name for a sirloin steak which had exactly the same texture and feel in the mouth of a sirloin steak you would find at your local grocery store. The sides were ordinary.
Our table was by the bar facing the bar and as an average tall (6') man I was barely able to fit my legs under the table in a comfortable fashion and food myself adjusting my legs frequently for comfort. The layout of his other restaraunts is much more open and welcoming compared to the seemingly closed off nature of this restaraunt.
Lastly, the price. If you pay for an elevated dining experience you expect elevated dining. My wife and I spent $400 with a tip and we ordered one cocktail did not order the highest of ticket items that we could have and we felt like this meal could have been easily compared to that of an ordinary steakhouse with a decent meats chef cooking the steaks on a good night. Coming from two people who truly love the owners other restaraunts we have visited we truly wanted to be excited about this new addition to the Raleigh area but walked away very underwhelmed and a...

From the moment we stepped into Crawford Brothers Steakhouse, we knew we were in for something special. This elevated steakhouse, with its modern twist on classic dishes, delivers an unforgettable dining experience that surpasses all expectations.
We were warmly greeted by the host team and led to a beautiful table in the bar area, right next to a floor-to-ceiling glass wall. As the sun set, twinkling lights outside created a magical ambiance, while the bartenders on the other side of our table entertained us with their mixology skills. The setting was both elegant and inviting—a perfect balance of sophistication and warmth.
Now, onto the real star of the evening—the food and beverages! Our meal began with a champagne selection recommended by Beverage Director Jordan Joseph, which was absolute perfection. For our second round, our incredible server, Amy, suggested a rich California Cabernet for me and a beautifully crafted martini for my guest. Amy was exceptional—warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. Her recommendations encouraged us to try things we might have otherwise overlooked, and we were so glad we did!
The house-made steakhouse rolls lived up to the hype. But the real standout starter? The duck meatballs—rich, flavorful, and absolutely divine. The new white radicchio salad with winter citrus was a revelation. The contrasting flavors created a fresh, zesty, and slightly surprising dish that we absolutely loved.
Of course, the highlight of the night was the steak. I ordered a filet mignon, cooked to a perfect medium rare, with a classic Béarnaise sauce—every bite was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. To accompany our steak, we had the legendary mushroom bread pudding—a dish I can’t recommend enough! It was an incredible combination of earthy, savory flavors and luxurious textures.
Just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, we ended on the perfect sweet note—the soft serve sundae. A swirl of Videri chocolate and vanilla bean ice cream, sprinkled with toffee peanuts and tiny chocolate nibs, adding a delightful crunch to every bite. The table-side drizzle of salted caramel was the ultimate finishing touch.
From the warm hospitality to the expertly crafted food and drinks, Crawford Brothers Steakhouse delivered a dining experience that was nothing short of spectacular. Thank you to Zach, Amy, Jordan, and the entire team for making our evening so memorable. We can’t...
