i want to preface by saying this is the first bad experience i've ever had here and i've been coming since they were in apex. i get there at 5:30 ask one of the young workers what time they closed so i could manage my time shes said 7 and to take my time as their was plenty of time before closing. Awesome i thought i was just there for some work appropriate pants we picked some out looked around a bit more then headed too the dressing rooms my toddlers getting a little antsy and grumpy at the point so i'm trying everything on fast as i can as she tried taking everything back off the hangers. An employeee or volunteer knocks and lets us know the fitting rooms are closing in five so i start putting on my clothes and abandon the thought of trying on the rest of the pants since three fit me perfect anyways then we are told the fitting rooms are closed and registers are being shut down (all before 7) not very early but still a good 7 min. Anyways a bit flustered now from the toddler being well a toddler and having too rush i go out and the lady is waiting for me and immediately starts scolding me about having more that 8 pieces on the room as welll as the cart, all while my toddler is having a time and i'm trying to rush so i can pay before the register is closed. She's right i should have read the signs i apologized and mentioned i was just trying to get everything tried on before closing. She wasn't having it and gave me an attitude so i just said never mind and put the pants i intended to buy back into the cart i hear her call me rude and some other choice words then go up front to share her story of a crazy customer with the rest of the employees (they are all staring as i walk out carrying my toddler more like a purse then a human) needless to say i should never have gone that close too close but i do wish that more retail employees had the compassion and understanding it takes to not only deal with unnecessary attitude but how difficult it is shoppin with a toddler while being scolded about...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreClean store, friendly enough employees...However, and this is a big disclaimer: Most of the items pricing is wildly inflated! I have been thrifting for over 20 years and I was extremely disappointed with pricing across the board at this store. I thrift for fun and to find a few good deals I didn't know I needed. It was obvious many others were shopping here because a department store or mall was far likely out of their budget. This is where my issue takes serious offense. There were such an abundance of shoes and boots, many of them basic and found at any thrift store, and they were wildly overpriced. I can easily say the same for coats, sweaters, and household goods. The women's blouses were fairly priced, but the kids options, again, were very marked up for stained and well worn pieces. I do not appreciate going to a business that plays Christian music, and promotes Christian values while out pricing many people who likely shop their because they can't afford to go to other establishments. It is unfair and downright wrong. These items are DONATIONS. North Carolina is entering it's winter season, and to take advantage of peoples need for warmer clothes and marking them up is asinine, extremely disappointing and heartless! Please do the right thing, and re-examine your prices to help out your community and to truly promote REAL Christian values of giving selflessly and graciously. Unfortunately, this place seems more concerned about their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have donated items at this location countless times. It is very close to my home and Iāve also purchased things many times. On my last visit I purchased some jeans for my daughter who was in school and brought them home for her to try on. The signage in the store has misleading message that says no receipts, no refund. So I held onto my receipt in case the jeans didnāt fit her. Well, to my surprise this was the first time I brought jeans and none of them fit her. So I returned to the store a day and a half later and was told that I couldnāt exchange clothes only electronics. I was baffled because it didnāt state that on the receipt nor was the signage clear. So the sales rep āPattyā said she was unable to help me and looked down for the remainder of the time that I asked her questions as to why would they not clearly post that policy on their receipts. She told me everyone knows you canāt return at thrift shops; but I assure you I did not. I asked if there was a store manager and she said that George was out of town and would be returning on Monday. Itās not much money but more so the principle of not meeting patrons at a compromise. I will follow up on Monday but I donāt believe I will be returning to this store to donate or purchase. The encounter just left a sour taste...
