This was a nice store. My two biggest negatives: -Price. The prices weren’t outrageous by any means, but I’ve definitely found cheaper at other stores. It can be seen in small things; for instance the cheapest they sell a cased game for is $5 when other stores(even GameStop) would be willing to let things go for $2 or $3. Maybe they offer a good bit for trades, and that is why prices are a bit higher, I did not try a trade in. But also, prices might not be super updated; a customer walked out the store and I heard the salesman say later “dang, I didn’t realize that game had dropped in market value so much, he paid quite a bit for that.” Might want to keep eBay handy. -Fake cases. I almost bought a game in a fake green case that looks very similar to an Xbox case. For starters, I don’t see how you end up with the cover and not the case, but I’d rather see those games in a different section, instead of mixed in with the fully cased games.
Other than that I loved the store. The store is very small, but they pack a lot in, and this is one of the largest selections I’ve seen. Along with quantity, they have quality, and have quite a few nice items. The salespeople were very nice and the atmosphere was quite familiar. While I was in there I heard several gift cards/coupons being offered to customers, so they seem to have customer satisfaction as a top priority. I plan to be back, and quite often at that!
Edit: Man, I didn’t want to do this, but I came back to the store for an original Xbox, and it was sold with a replica controller. I can understand this in some situations, but there was no price reduction, there were at least three OEM controllers in store that I could see, and the controller was faulty. If the product is displayed completely OEM, it should be sold OEM. Especially when you sell replica controllers for less than OEM controllers.
Final Edit: “Cleaned and tested” they said upon purchase. Three days in, my Xbox started to have issues reading discs, and now has almost stopped reading entirely. The inside was filthy and you can see that in photos. The controller ports also cause input stick. If you’ll read above about the prices, this seems to show some not so great business practices. I’ve bought about 10 games from here, and never had in issue with discs, but after this experience I will look...
Read moreIn terms of retro and latest gaming options, this is the place you should come to. Fair pricing on items being sold, they even do great options for trade ins on all your old retro games and equipment, basically anything to do with retro items they'd take, at least that's what I've observed. This is a family run business, or at least that's what it makes you feel like when you step foot in the store. The atmosphere felt like a family vibe just pulling you in; the store owners are very nice and talkative, and they don't tempt to try and cheat you out of anything, they tell it to you how it is, especially when it comes to a sale. I loved being there, but I almost didn't...
Read moreThere are not a lot of local game stores that specialize in used video games anymore, so I was super excited to come visit this one. I was able to find some games that I have been looking for, and they were priced reasonably. They have a lot of games available for purchase, as well as some collectibles and gaming accessories. They also have a little fridge with some nice drinks in them. We got some cans of Mountain Dew in flavors that we had not tried for 99 cents each! The people who were working (I am guessing the owners, but am not totally sure) were super nice and welcoming! I will definitely be coming back next time...
