What a sorry excuse for a Christian business. This is coming from a Christian with Conservative Christian values. I have visited this store maybe 4 times within the past 4-5 years, and EVERY SINGLE TIME I have had an extremely unpleasant experience. You might ask, “why do you keep visiting?” Well one would think that they would provide customer service training every now and then, so each time I have visited I have gone with a “maybe they have changed”, state of mind. Boy have I been proven wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME. Never am I at LEAST greeted or smiled at by the employees. Every time I ask for assistance, the employees will breathe through their teeth. All because I needed some baskets from a top shelf. Are the employees not there to assist with things I cannot reach? I’m not going to find an extended hook to reach the top shelves on my own, I just don’t feel like I have the right as a customer. This Hobby Lobby is a sorry excuse for a Christian business. The Christian music throughout the store is in vain if the employees don’t at least treat their customers with some extent of respect. My mother also had a bad experience. She speaks broken English, and she has experienced the same type of behavior from the employees. She was even yelled at by another employee for not giving a detailed explanation of an item she needed. SHE SPEAKS BROKEN ENGLISH. When my mother attempted to explain she doesn’t speak English fluently, the employee began to yell at her for not asking someone that speaks Spanish.

Read moreMy sister was racially profiled at this store….……I’ve never been the one to pull the race card, but yesterday I was racially profiled/humiliated/embarrassed. My son and I went to purchase supplies for his business at Hobby Lobby I paid for the supplies with a hundred dollar bill. The cashier instantly call for a manager. Manager took my money, to another register, came back to me, holding the hundred in the air, loudly telling me, she wasn’t gonna accept my money, because it wouldn’t scan, and I should maybe take it to the bank, maybe they will take it, maybe not, insinuating I was trying to past a counterfeit bill. I politely asked her to scan it again. She then told me, that she couldn’t, because their machines wasn’t warmed up. “Make this make sense” 🤔 So that means, she never scanned my money in the first place. I then told her, to warm all the machines up and I’ll wait for her to verify my real money!!! She also told another employee that, I could say whatever, she don’t care. She totally embarrassed me in front of a line full of people. After her last statement, I told her to stop talking to me, and get to verifying that money. She then said she will take the money, only because she’s choosing to. Wow Hobby Lobby, in Cedar Hill, Texas store number 247, “Ms Marilyn” is a real racist!!!! Hobby Lobby need to get it...
Read moreI created and posted, or so I thought, a review days ago. I wonder where it went. 😭
Hobby Lobby is a great store. When my beloved dog died one night at the end of October 2020, while I slept, I called Hobby Lobby seeking a kit to preserve her paw print before I buried her in the back yard. They had TWO kits, one to make an ink print and the other to make an imprint in a soft, clay-like material that hardens. I purchased both. I was so pleased.
Hobby Lobby has been my go-to store for years for package ribbon, paints and brushes, colored parchment paper to make cards, matching envelopes using my dried, pressed flowers, and large bookmarks made with pressed flowers, that I laminate at an office supply store, custom framing, sewing supplies and advice, and the best silk flowers anywhere!
The staff are always helpful and instead of just pointing across the store, they will happily take you to the location of the hard-to-find item if asked to take you there.
Sales are common provide deep discounts. But even without a discount, the price usually beats prices ay Michael's, also a fine store.
Plan your shopping ahead because they, like Chick-fil-a, are not open for...
