I really like the selection they have here, there's so much stuff. I overfilled my basket without once looking at prices and only spent $70, which was awesome because anywhere else, I definitely would have spent at least double on these items.
However, I don't think I'll be coming back to this location because of a very rude, condescending and LOUDLY uneducated employee. If you work at a Japanese store, you'd think you would know what Mochi is?!?! My friend was looking for Mochi so I asked an employee near the food section if they had any. She turned and looked at me with disgust as if I was the most ignorant peasant she has ever seen in her life (I'm not over exaggerating....) and without skipping a beat says "Mochi is Korean. This is a Japanese store. NO! We don't sell mochi." I looked at her in shock, not just because of her attitude but because HOW COULD YOU BE SO CONFIDENTLY INCORRECT 😭🤣 A quick Google search will tell you that Mochi is NOT Korean, even the word Mochi is Japanese. I'm still baffled by this encounter. We immediately left and didn't even bother searching the aisles for mochi after this, but a quick Google search does show that Daiso stores sell mochi. Not sure if this one did or not, and won't be back to look for it again. 😂 really sucks that some dumb snotty girl had to ruin my first experience at this store for me, but it's probably for the best because I'll save lots of money by not going here- everything is...
Read moreNot only do we have a Daiso, but we have a Daiso with both Standard Products AND Threeepy!? The Aurora Daiso only has Threeepy I believe but this Daiso has a HUGE selection of Standard Products items which blew my mind the moment I walked in. For context, not even all the Daiso stores in Japan stock both Standard Product and Threeepy. I actually only visited one storefront in Tokyo that had all three (on one big, massive floor). The Threeepy selection isn't huge, but what they do have is REALLY cute. All of the Daiso products are great quality for their prices. The store has a little bit of everything - homeware, kitchenware/dishware, stationery, snacks, food, cleaning supplies, etc. The store is large, nicely organized, and all the staff are super nice. There's lots of Daiso product hacks as well online if you're ever looking for inspiration. I personally love Daiso for the stationery, snacks, crafting products, homeware, and various storage solutions they provide. Price wise, expect prices similar to Five Below depending on the size and what...
Read moreCOLORADO FRIENDS!! When I tell you that we should not take for granted that we're one of the TWO states with a Daiso that has a Standard Products lineup inside I mean it!! The only other time I've been to a standalone Standard Products was in Taiwan/Japan.
I already love DAISO, it's a dollar store but with significantly better products. But this specific DAISO is elevated with its addition of the Standard Products brand. (My Californian friends are jealous of us for once!!)
The DAISO items are tried and true. Fun stationery, household items, knick knacks galore. Need a really specific item that can cook a perfect onsen egg? No problem.
But the highlight of this flagship is that Standard Products is affordable, great quality everyday home goods including dishware, kitchenware, bathroom essentials, etc. If you've been to a MUJI before, it has that same no fuss, minimalist...
