Such a sweet neighborhood park! There’s a parking lot off S. Elizabeth, but there is no path to the playground. There is curbside parking on E. Easter for easy access. The park has two playgrounds—one for littles and one for bigger kids—but our group of toddlers had fun on both!
There are swings, a tire swing, and fun spring toy cars to climb on. The big open field has soccer goals and plenty of space to run around. There’s also a nice walking trail and a cute little creek nearby. We didn’t check out the restroom, but it’s there if you need it. The park was wide open and had functioning indoor restrooms with soap dispenser, hand sanitizer dispenser, and running water. The park also offers great views when looking west, and a small creek that runs next to it. Ample shaded areas to beat the heat, with drinking fountains as well. For it being a Saturday afternoon in the middle of summer, people were few and far between. It's nestled away in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. But still had the open space/ nature feel to it. Found Cherry Knolls pond on a search for someplace to take my daughters fishing. When we got there, the pond was so full of algae the ducks were walking across it. More of the surface of the pond is covered in algae than open water. The area also smelled… not great. I’ve smelled worse ponds, but this one wasn’t pleasant.
