Love this place. It is our "go to" breakfast place. But our visit yesterday was not so good. Husband and I order the same thing everytime, as we did yesterday. I got the Elevated Egg Sandwich - it is usually a nice fresh brioche bun - and all the tasty ingredients all smush together and taste amazing. The bun did not taste like a Brioche bun, very close to a stale hamburger bun, which ruined the flavor - the swiss cheese also was just so melted and smothered all the other flavors. It was pretty much messy inside and the bun was sale and hard. Our sweet waitress - I will not mention her name - asked how everything was - I was honest with her - she knew we were regulars - but seemed surprised - pretty much all gone she offered to ask the kitchen staff. I told her it was not really necessary as I had eaten it and we were done. But I told here it was not the same bun. Probably a small thing - But the prinicipal - you ask about how the food was and get an honest answer. She really didn't let me know the outcome. I would have expected a manager to respond. And to keep a regular customer happy - at least offer some kind of discount. I don't look for discounts - but I would take one if offered. The husband mentioned lets try Snooze right before we ventured out and I said No, First Watch. So next time it will probably be different. Sorry...
Read moreI have been coming twice a month to this location for breakfast since it became First Watch - yesterday (September 12th) was the first time I have had a very disappointing experience - when I entered there were two staff at the cash register socializing and I had to draw attention to my presence before one of them stopped their chit chat. Once seated no one waited on me until I caught the attention of someone and got a response. After I ordered I had asked for water with no ice - out came the water full of ice! There was minimal contact with the wait person and when I finally got my breakfast the pancake on the plate had been partially cut on one side of it. I once again observed a lot of socializing between staff and the lack of smiling on the part of at least four staff who looked like they were on automatic pilot. Once I finished and went up to pay the cashier never made eye contact and I had to remind her to give me a receipt. This, again, was the first time I have ever been there where I felt it was over staffed, way to much idol time beiyused for social time and lack of basic customer service skills/training. I live near this location but fortunately even though it is my preferred eating place there are at least 4 other breakfast place options to choose from and I plan to...
Read moreMet a friend for brunch, was unplanned. While we were trying to enjoy our meal one of the staff, a thin man stood and stared directly at me. I felt incredibly uncomfortable. I turned and looked at him but he kept doing it. I should have spoken up. Then my friend said a heavy set man from the kitchen stood in the kitchen doorway and was staring at her. We had no idea what was going on. We decided to finish up and try to leave. Meanwhile the other man was still staring at me like a kidnapper. Like what the hell is going on here?? We decided to leave at 1:45 even though they closed at 2:30. We noticed the mariachi music was progressively getting louder from the kitchen. We felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. The staff started mopping the floor with some really strong cleaner, it was making us sick. The same thin man stood and stared at me. I scanned the parking lot to be sure there wasn’t a white van in the corner. I’m totally serious, that was a valid fear at this point. As we stepped outside a car quickly pulled up to us, that startled me really bad. I will never return to this...
