Carr Home — Attraction in Chalfont

Carr Home remodeled my first floor with the main attraction being the kitchen. The project kicked off with a visit to my home to view the existing space and understand my vision for the new space. Jennie and Rachel brought the vision to life with a sleek and efficient design. There were so many fun yet practical additions to the kitchen such as pull out shelves in the pantry (no more bending down to dig stuff out!), a spice drawer, a pull out cabinet next to the stove to store cooking utensils and a corner cabinet with a lazy susan.

The project was scheduled to begin within 4-6 weeks after the design phase. Carr Home took great care in protecting my home during demolition and even set up a temporary kitchen space in the living room with a microwave, hot plate, paper products and plastic utensils.

There were many workers and contractors involved in this project - electricians, plumbers, painters, flooring and cabinet specialists and woodworkers. To a man everyone was friendly, informative and highly skilled in their profession. They showed up when expected, used high quality materials and performed excellent quality work. Everyone who worked in my home diligently cleaned up the site every single day.

When the job was complete, Colby and Jennie made a final site visit and reviewed a small punch list which was completed without question. They sent a cleaning crew to deep clean the entire construction space! I could not be happier with how everything turned out. Carr Home...

As a busy family of 6, we couldn’t be happier with our kitchen renovation by Carr Home. From our initial meetings with Colby and Jennie to reviewing the detailed drawings and high quality renderings, it was clear they listened closely to our wants and needs. Questions were answered promptly, even on nights and weekends, and any concerns were resolved immediately, without question. Their commitment to quality workmanship and exceptional customer service made the experience truly memorable - can't say enough about how impressive it was.

Horrendous Experience

Some of the things that went wrong: Never received updated final contract Invoices with careless errors, always in Carr Home’s favor The room was measured several times but in the end they were still off by inches. Builders who can’t measure? Wrong cabinet was ordered and installed which, along with measuring errors, really messed up the fridge space and entrance. Fixing that won’t be free, or fun. Three bowed doors were installed Constantly dropping the ball, disorganized, full of lame excuses, and we had to point out the errors ourselves. So unprofessional. After authorities were mysteriously called due to a ‘smell’ in our house we decided we couldn’t work with them anymore. As a condition of receiving the replacement parts they owed us, we were asked (refused) to sign a release stating we won’t speak to anyone else! Ridiculous. We then got some of the replacements and had to get in touch directly with the vendor to get the rest. Wish we had looked up the owners and not the company before...
