Los Sarapes Chalfont — Restaurant in Chalfont

Unprofessional and not worth the money. There may be alot of good reviews, but unfortunately it only takes one bad experience to define a restaurant. We ordered through doordash and got the nachos for the both of us. We specifically wrote in the notes: put cheese on side. Because i am allergic. Therefore my girlfriend can put the cheese on and i dont have to pick it off. I know this sounds a little ridiculous, but when you wait an hour and pay 40 bucks for nachos and kids tacos, you expect the employees to follow simple instructions. And to top it off, when we got the food, on the receipt where our "notes" were they wrote in sharpie, "can't be done." Really?! You cant put cheese on the side? Or did you make the food, and then read the notes and were too lazy to remake it correctly. And if it really cant be done, why not be a professional and contact us, instead of just sending food out with no care of the special instructions. People have allergies, and this just makes it seem they have no concern for people's health and safety. It seems like they just want your money and dont care if you overpaid, waited an hour for food you cant eat because your allergic. When all they had to do was follow simple instructions. So extremely disappointed with our experience here .

We made reservations at this restaurant for Mother’s Day weekend . We accidentally went to their sister location about 10 minutes away. We were looking forward to our family celebrations for Mother’s Day , once we arrived at the horsham road location , we were told we may have made reservations at a different location . We headed out to the correct location , we called this location at chalfont to let them know we’d be 10 min late - we spoke to a very rude employee who yelled at us for going to the wrong location, proceeded to tell us they’re going to charge us the $25 cancellation fee per person for 7 people . We were so disgusted with how he dealt with us we could not bring ourselves to support this business . He proclaimed that we held up seatiothparties because we were late . The employee then hung up on us.

I then called the restaurant, from a different phone, to find the name of this employee . I was greeted by someone else , I proceeded to ask how long the wait would be and was told that they could seat us right away - THERE WAS NO WAIT !! I could not believe how rude this employee was to us and cannot express enough how this experience has tainted our impression of this business. If their customer service is any indication of the quality of their restaurant experience , I would not recommend this...

Response to Owner: I am well aware of price increases everywhere, but quality of your food and portions do not merit exorbitant prices you charge. Sorry. Unless your establishment improve in both counts, no dice from me or recommendtions...

Original Review: Way way overhyped! Not sure why people have endorsed this place with 4 or 5 stars. Maybe they were impressed with "ambiance." Place was decorated nicely with Mexican theme, but the food and prices does not warrant such high scores.

They dont even provide tortillas when you sit down. (We discovered that they charged extra for this). And what kind of Mexican restaurant DOES NOT have hot sauces, ie) no Tabasco sauce? Are are U kidding me?

And their menus are impossible to read as the menu font sizes are micro-small and no one could read this without magnifying 🔍 glasses. If I have to guess, the size was like 4 point font... A joke.

Food was lackluster at best. I had better Enchiladas elsewhere. My enchiladas had barely any cheese and my plate was just barely luke warm.

Oversll, for the money spent, I would go to other Mexican establishment next time. I am definitely NOT recommending this place at all. There are better Mexican eateries with better food and...
