Visited in May 2022 with my 2 sons. Leaving this review now just to share my experience and perhaps to help others to enjoy their dining here.
FYI(s): Check the bill before leaving cash tip on the table. THEY CHARGED 18% tip automatically for 3 people dine-in and didn't tell me when he picked up the $20 tip. So total tip was almost $40 and didn't notice this until we got home (my fault but as a courtesy, he should have said the tip was included; there was no sign or verbal communication) They charged extra for everything and even for items not asked for (such as side guacamoles).
In Quick Summary: Food was ok and nothing to write about; sauces was ok and was basic homemade, no kicks Server was ok and was not attentive: We were the only customers when we arrived Atmosphere ok (see other reviewer's postings) Good for a quick bite but the prices are not that cheap Drink portion/ size was way too small for the price
We love Mexican food and have eatten at many authentic Mexican restaurants and paid well deserved money for them because they were awesome in food quality and service. This newly opened El Limon in Chalfont area was a place many of us waited for and finally visited for the first and perhaps for the last time (there are many other finer places for better authentic Mexican food and dinning experience around Chalfont, PA)... I may try one more time but I rather go to a place with my loving family and friends for good food and honest service rather than have to worry about what we are going to get charged without knowing. Especially when there are no sign or verbal communication on fixed 18% gratuity. If services is good and honest, well deserved gratuity will be given even when the...
Read moreMy coworkers told me about “El Limon” they said this place has good food, decent portions and reasonable price. They have parking lot to park which is good that we didn’t have to worry about looking to park on the street. I checked their menu thru website and seems they have small menu compare other Mexican restaurants around. I was looking like a platters and El Limon didn’t have it. My husband and my son got quesadillas.. the quesadillas seems smaller size and the taste was alright. My tacos was pretty good, I just wish they serve along with cebollín to make it more authenticity. Ordered pork tamales to go and they were pretty good too. Server was friendly. Someday I would like to try El Limon at the...
Read moreWe order from El Limon in Chalfont multiple times a month. The food is always great — good quality and large portions — but the service is absolutely horrible. The employees act like they don’t care, and lately the place feels more focused on money than customers.
Today we found a long fake French tip nail in our takeout. When we called (in both English and Spanish), we were hung up on twice. A third employee answered, showed no concern, refused a refund, and told us to drive back to pick up a new meal.
The food might be good, but the way they treat customers is unacceptable. Very...
