We found this place online while waiting for a family member at the Amblutory center. We road over and looked at their menu board and once we ordered they had our food ready almost as soon as we got to the drive-through. As we were going around the building when driving in one of the cooks waved at us. The people were friendly and service was fast. I had "the Grandpa". I got coffee to drink. The coffee was decent. The hash brown was quite greasy and a little mushy so that wasn't my favorite. The biscuit was very good. The biscuit portion was fresh and had a good texture. Definitely homemade. Their was a good portion of eggs and bacon which all tasted good and the real cheddar cheese was great. The star on my biscuit was the chicken. It was breaded and had a great flavor. The spices they use were great. If I am ever around to go back I would probably just get a chicken biscuit next time. Overall I would certainly recommend this place for a quick bite for breakfast. Note they are drive-through only. This is not a sit down place.

This is one of those unique places that warrants a visit when you are in Chapel Hill. This place is a drive-through/walk-up restaurant that makes breakfast food but is largely known for its biscuit sandwiches. I had a chicken biscuit sandwich which put Time-Out to shame. The chicken was juicy and the biscuit was SO buttery and flakey. We also got one of those hand-held hash browns like they have at McDonald's. I could have eaten a couple of the sandwiches but I'm glad I didn't for my own health. I forwent the tea and I am glad I did...my friend ordered it and it is WAY too sweet so be warned. Tip: The line for the drive-through was long so we saved a lot of time by parking and walking up...it moves a lot faster.

Stopped by because everyone brags about how good the food is. NEVER again will I eat from here. The hotdogs were disgusting and made very sloppy like. The old lady with the freckles at the window was very rude with her nonchalant attitude. She didn't smile or say thank you. Didn't tell us to come again or nothing. We ordered drinks at the last minute but that's still no reason to show her frustration. I'd rather have hotdogs from Hardee's cause theses from sunrise were very nasty and I'd rather not deal with snoody black people such as the old lady with the freckles.

TASTELESS FOOD, HORRIBLE SERVICE. READ FULL REVIEW: This deserves a ZERO. This was the worst breakfast experience of my entire life. I ordered my food, and of course, it was completely wrong. Not to mention, the food I did receive was absolutely terrible. The grits were completely unseasoned and it tasted like styrofoam. The eggs tasted like powder. The cinnamon roll was not as pictured; it had no icing and it was hard as a rock. I didn’t get gravy (which I paid $2 extra for), my hash brown, or toast (which were all essential parts of my order, so I was a little confused how they missed that). When I came back through the drive through, which was extremely inconvenient, the order taker cut me off repeatedly when I was explaining my situation. She was EXTREMELY rude and unaccommodating. I had tried to explain that I wanted my hash brown and then a refund on the other items, but she kept cutting me off and not listening. So, she ended up refunding me for the hashbrown as well and then was confused and rude when I said I wanted it. She then refused to give me a hash brown. Also, because of that entire experience, I had to let the rest of my food get cold. If you want food that doesn’t taste like cardboard, has even one grain of seasoning, and isn’t ridiculously overpriced, I suggest you go to Bojangles or Waffle House. I will never return, and I am regretful that I ever gave this...

As a man raised in Texas all my life there were many biscuits that I ate, some were good, some were bad. For five long years my beutiful girlfriend told of a biscuit paradise called Sunrise Biscuits where every single biscuit was perfectly crispy on the outside and infinitely fluffy on the inside. Of course I did not believe her not until one finally graced my mouth and sent my tastebuds into another dimension. I was enlightened, my life forever changed. I looked down at my already half eaten biscuit, fearing that I was almost done. I asked her how much these amazing biscuits cost. When she told me that a sausage biscuit from the heavens was only 2.95 with tax my jaw nearly hit the floor as we quickly put the car in reverse to go back through the drive-thru to get another. I needed it. The amazing employees at Sunrise biscuits with their passion for biscuits were so excited to see my enlightenment that they gave me an extra fluffy large biscuit. Many people meditate to try to reach it place of inner peace but little did they know all they needed to do was travel to Sunrise biscuit and take a bite. I called her a biscuit elitist for so long and now I find myself a biscuit elitist. One never wants to hear the words "I told you so" but I turned to my girlfriend and I told her she could say it to me. If you have never had one of these biscuits at least once in your life are you not...

Sorry for the wall of text: I don't know what happened this time. It's usually okay, though it's been a while since we had Sunrise. Ordered from Grubhub, and we were missing 1 of 2 cinnamon rolls, and the 1 that came was smashed; both bacon & egg biscuits came with cheese which we had not ordered and do not like; the biscuits & gravy came in broken styrofoam, one tasted like styrofoam and the other had some sort of hard gristle or bone in the gravy; the grits were like cement; the hash brown patty was limp and falling apart. I hate leaving bad reviews, and if it's just a bad hit on one thing, I won't, but this was awful. Grubhub doesn't allow you to report more than one thing, so we got less than half the order refunded and threw the entire order out after a couple of bites. About $35 we'll never see again including tip, and a bunch of hungry cranky people. Grubhub also doesn't allow you to review on the platform if you report something wrong, so you have to put your bad reviews here and don't see them when you go to order on Grubhub. You can ask for a refund for something horrible or let people know it was horrible. Doesn't get more deceptive than that. I feel like a freaking Karen even writing this, but I don't want anyone else to lose money they can't afford. Hopefully they just had a bad day, but we're definitely not going there again for a...
