(May be more of a PSA than a review but a needed one, IMHO)😳I'm a true blue tar heel fan. I've been going to Carmichael Arena for over 15 years. I am a long-standing season ticket holder and frequent Carmichael Arena very often, sometimes twice a week, depending on the women's basketball game scheduling. Although the arena has been somewhat upgraded over the years, even recently, with adding new lights for dramatic effect and an updated jumbotron, the most important pieces that's forgotten in these upgrades, are the older fans. Although I'm still fairly young and get to and from my assigned seat with ease, many fans of a more graceful age do not manage with such ease. With that said, why not start to think about the supporting fans who struggle to get to their seats each game by adding hand rails to each seat row. For reference, the DPAC has added such recently, and it makes getting to the seats for those who may need a little extra balancing, much easier. Please don't lose long-standing, in-person fans due to such issues. We need as much support in that arena as possible. The more in-person fans, the better for the team! I've been a part of only about 30-40 people in the entire arena to cheer for the team over the years. The teams were struggling and very few people came to support. I appreciate the additional support that's been growing for women's basketball. So please support the more graceful fans with adding more chair rail support for...
Read moreI don't like that the students have to come in the same way regular patrons do. It's not fair to them. The students should have their own entrance. The experience in Carmichael is still pretty great as we approach 40 years since Michael Jordan last played there. I also don't like that what was student seating had been somewhat blocked off. While I'm not one, I still view the students as the most important group of fans for any college team. Carmichael's great, but would be 5-star if the students could get what they...

Parking in the area is confusing so arrive very early to figure it all out.
UNC only offers arena seating for Lady Tar Heel games, so finding a seat and keeping it can be tricky.
Atmosphere was good. Concessions were adequate and fairly quick.
Restrooms are a bit odd.
Fans respectfully and polite to visiting fans.
With all this in mind, I would return to a game at Carmichael, now that I have a better lay...
