John's Island Library — Attraction in Charleston

Ineffective management riddled with lazy personnel make a very bad environment to work, learn, or study. Of the various instances I've been there, I've seen programs ineffectively staged, uncontrolled children running about, loitering miscreants, and employees bathed in the glow of their personal phones while scrolling social media on library computers. There have been multiple instances of waiting for an employee to wait on any customer while sitting at the desk meant to assist people. In one instance a customer was ignored while the employee sat and looked down at their watch for a full four minutes. Love this library and CCPL system. Amazing kids programs (especially summer reading - so many prizes), staff is wonderful, site is clean, kids room has great toys/activities.
