Nasty 🤮 and dirty is an understatement, the first computer I was sitting at had so many hairs and dirt all over it! Staff were rude when I approached them to tell them about it! My 2nd computer was do nasty I was scared to sit down I ask staff was they available to clean the area she walked off and approach another co-worker and came back and handed me some wet wipes… I replied so you want me to clean after someone else without gloves on? I don’t work here! Which I thought was very unprofessional! I was ask did I want to sit somewhere else but the whole computer area look nasty and not clean! Always greeted by homeless.. This THU 24jul2025 morning, i went to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library to "re-work" on my NC_AHCD "paperwork" cos those i did yesterday, on my home (~10 y.o.) Brother Laser Printer/Scanner; its scannings, conversion to PDF, and printouts were "blurry" poor quality. Bte, its been many years since i'd been to a public library. As such, i am so out-of-touch .. "obsolete" about computers and technology, Well, i seek help from the Librarian on how to use their (public shared-use) computers, printer/scanner/copier .. 😅 Lucky for me, the Librarian was professional, friendly and nice. And she kindly "hand-held" worked with me, "step-by-step" for my scannings, copying, PDF to email, etc .. Thank you much...

I love this library because the staff are always helpful and kind. The library is always clean and there is always a computer available. I would like it if libraries would provide wipes for the computers to cut down on the spread of germs, but they don't. I carry my own wipes into the library and wipe down the keyboard and mouse for my own protection. I hope they can start offering these things in the future.
