Cordelia Swimming Pool — Attraction in Charlotte

It was ok, the pool is the same it's always been at least for the past 15 years. The only issue is that I didn't know they were still doing the hour and a half blocks and I got there thirty minutes before the block ended. They didn't tell me, if there was a sign I didn't really notice. Then when it was time for us to leave I was a little confused and asked what time the pool closed on Sundays and was rudely told it closes the same time as every other day. Which the website said 6 pm, but it's really at 5:30. Long story short it's fine if you get there in time for the blocks, and don't need to ask anyone that works there anything. Emotionally and Physically attentive lifeguard staff at this public pool. This place is family atmosphere from the front to the back. Each life guard understands the correct way of addressing and encouraging children to keep them safe. My family perfers the Cordelia Outdoor pool over the other Mecklenburg County Outdoor pools. On multiple occasions I have witness exceptional, behavioural, and mentally disabled children at the facility who Love their Mr/Mrs lifeguard because they have taken the responsibility of knowing a little about each person who visits that facility. My Nephew will go No where else to swim outdoors. He wants to be a life guard just like the great examples he sees...

There is no phone number to ask questions on how to get in and how the place operates. We got there ready to pay just to find out we need tickets (which were already sold out). Please put a phone number so people can ask questions and avoid wasting their gas and time.

Update 7/1/25: went here to swim. The strict rules are ridiculous. Swimming under water for more than 3 seconds is not allowed. Attempting to retrieve a dropped sunglasses is also against the rules. This place creates an environment that will never govern a chance for new swimmers to progress or even enjoy themselves. Would...
