PLEASE READ! This place is not what they try to make it out to be. I would give them zero stars if I could. Some of the rules at this place are like living at an overpriced hotel and even a hotel will let you have 2 keys for a single or king room. My daughter lives here and when I visit her, I shake my head every time. Let's start with the tour, they take you on a route that gives a false presentation. You will not see how soiled the floors are until you move in. So, let's write about that, the move in was from HELL. We had to carry furniture up the stairs, no elevators to accommodate the furniture (couches and all). Each time I visit the hallways are disgusting, the floors, the smell, the trash. You would never think you would see what I have seen and still see today at Bainbridge NoDa. I will attach pictures for you all to bear witness. My daughter has tenants above her head that constantly make noise via stomping, arguing etc. which has been reported to management and nothing has changed or has been done. She works long hours and loses sleep a lot of nights due to the walls and floors being so thin. She requested to transfer to another apartment due to the inconvenience and I was blown out of the water by what they told her. First, they said her account must be in good standings in which it is, because she pays her rent on time every month and I am a witness to that. They also told her she would have to pay a $750.00 transfer fee PLUS go through the application process ALL OVER AGAIN. Which by the way is a hard inquiry on her credit report, background check etc. and she already lives there. Now how crazy is that? They could care less that their tenant is being inconvenienced to this degree and is no longer as happy being a tenant there. She loves her apartment but doesn't like the noise and lack of courtesy for your neighbor that she is experiencing, and she is also a little disappointed with management. I want to know who manages this place, children? All this incompetent management team could say to her was for her to get some proof of them stomping over her head and them arguing at 2 am in the morning when she is trying to rest. WOW! Otherwise, pay $750.00 transfer fee to move now and reapply to live where you "already" live or wait until your lease is up and move to another unit and still apply to live where you "already" live... RIDICULOUS. I felt the need to share because this could be you if you chose to live here. I pray my daughter goes up the chain of command as far as she can to get a resolve. Again...
Read moreI lived here from January 2023-March 2024 in a first floor unit facing the pool. In late 2023, greystar purchased the complex and renamed to noda flats from bainbridge noda.
The major issue I had with this complex was bugs and that started happening soon after I moved in. I started noticing earwigs and millipedes in my unit a few times and thought it was just a one off here and there but then it started to happen multiple times (like 10 times) almost daily. I have about 6 months worth of chains of emails back and forth with the previous property manager, and bainbridge corporate about it. Pest control did come into my unit a few times. PM at the time offered to let me transfer to another unit & so I went and toured another on the third floor, it also had bugs in it so I declined. Soon after, started seeing roaches. Again with the back and forth and this was almost thru the duration of my whole lease. Honestly was a nightmare and I felt like I was constantly looking out of the corner of my eye for bugs. I kept sticky traps down the whole time too.
Second issue was the noise. I never had any issues with hearing next door neighbors but I could hear a pin drop in the upstairs neighbors unit. Also you can hear everything in the halls from inside your unit. I know there’s not much you can do about the thickness of the walls, but just something to keep in mind.
Also my apartment always seemed to have a mildew smell I could never find and felt moist. Their suggestion was moisture absorbers.
Hallways reeked of garbage often
On my move in day it took hours because they couldn’t find my move in packet
If you search bainbridge noda you’ll see that there were also issues with break ins in the parking garage as multiple news outlets reported on it. The parking garage gate was broken for weeks, and some of the side doors locks broke periodically too. There are no security cameras in the garage or inside that I know of
IMO, your money is better spent elsewhere. I will say that the new property manager Caleb seems to want to make it a better place, and he actually listened and...
Read moreVery nice apartment. The kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful. The building is newer. Great amenities. I’ve been living here for about a month now and enjoy my actual apartment. However, I do feel like the leasing staff can be misleading regarding their promotions and it is taking several emails to have my questions answered. When I signed my lease, I signed up for two months of rent off. There was a little bit of confusion as to which months the free rent would be applied for. It is NOT consecutive. I sent a few emails requesting clarity on this policy and the response from the office has basically been “rent is due by x date” and my questions weren’t being answered. It is taking a lot of follow up to get a clear response via email from the leasing office team. I feel like I’m burdening the leasing office by asking questions because a few of my questions continue to not get answered, but instead I’m getting responses that I have to pay or be evicted. It shows me that the leasing office prioritizes money, which I get, this is a business. But I also feel you can take the time to really explain things and answer questions for a confused newer resident. I also asked specifically if I could pay my remaining balance on a certain date. That question was COMPLETELY overlooked and I was told they’d file eviction paperwork instead. I still haven’t gotten an answer on this but I give up. I’ve sent 5 emails already. I ended up just saying that I’ll pay the remaining balance, which I will. After this conversation, I don’t feel like the leasing office actually tries to help residents or answer their questions. I honestly feel stressed and defeated. They’re simply focused on making their money even if you’re confused throughout the lease. I won’t be suggesting this property to my friends and I will more than likely buy myself of out the lease soon, it is just a shame because the apartments are BEAUTIFUL and I really wanted to enjoy...
