I love leaving reviews. I am a big reviewer when it comes to visiting any place that I go to so with that being said, I will have to say I love coming to this gym. The staff is super friendly, super helpful. They are really clean as far as everything else Except the #1 place that should be attentive to is the women's locker room especially the shower area. It is really nasty. The crazy part is one day I was walking past and I seen this little door that was to the right by the women's bathroom and someone was coming out and I looked in and seen that it's an area for just the employees,I'm assuming they take showers and use the bathroom but it's funny how that is super clean, but when it comes to they're women area in the women locker room as far as the shower area, it's not treated as such at all (I thought that customers come first but I guess not). It's really disgusting as far as the shower curtain as y'all can see in the images I left. Everyone knows that the bathroom is like the number one hygiene area that you should always keep clean and for it to be unkept for the amount of money they receive from annuals and memberships you would think they would be up to par on everything in the gym. It just behooved me I attend this gym actually on the regular basis and the bathroom always look like this. It is never clean in the shower area. They're light in the women's mirror locker room. (it's like the first door to the right). The light is not working It'll be nice if they can attend to the women's bathroom more regularly especially when someone wanna wash their body. I think y'all should have someone clean that shower area at least every hour. Alot of women that comes in and out. so it'll be nice if they can get that together once I can see a change in that especially when I'm paying 40 bucks for a membership. I mean, why wouldn't you want to enjoy all the perks and necessities that comes with it. you know what I mean. so I'll check and see if the showers in the woman's bathroom is up to par and maybe we can change it from two stars to five other than that I freaking love the gym. I think everything else is awesome!

I've recently joined crunch Fitness Gym at ( steel creek )and so far, it's been a fantastic experience. Here’s a breakdown of what I think makes this gym stand out: **Facilities:** The gym is equipped with state-of-the-art machines and free weights. There’s a wide range of equipment, ensuring that there's something for everyone, regardless of their fitness level. The layout is spacious, which helps to avoid that cramped feeling during peak hours. **Cleanliness:** Cleanliness is clearly a top priority at this gym , The staff is diligent about wiping down equipment, and there are ample cleaning stations for members to use. The locker rooms and showers , sauna are spotless and well-maintained, hopefully they do continue their cleannesses going forward. **Classes:** Crunch Fitness offers a diverse array of classes, from high-intensity workouts. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and provide modifications for all fitness levels. The schedule is flexible, making it easy to fit a workout into a busy day. **Staff:** The staff at crunch Fitness is incredibly welcoming and helpful. They greet you with a smile, are always available to answer questions, and provide excellent guidance on how to use the equipment. The personal trainers are top-notch, offering personalized workout plans and motivational support. **Community:** One of the best aspects of this in the sense of community. The gym fosters an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone feels welcome. There are regular events and challenges that keep members engaged and motivated. **Membership Options:** This crunch Fitness offers a variety of membership plans. I am not sure but I think They do provide a free trial period, so you can experience the gym before committing. **Overall Experience:** Crunch fitness has exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned athlete, this gym provides everything you need to achieve your fitness goals. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped, and friendly environment.

I’ve been a member of Crunch Fitness for a little over 2 years now. This specific location is the most unwelcoming out of all the locations in Charlotte. First off, they had this single sign posted only in front of the dumbbells and nowhere else — How is someone on the squat rack supposed to know about this if it’s not posted in multiple places? Then later that week the sign is gone but they make constant intermittent announcements over the speaker.. So you’re threatening to kick people out while they’re working out over a speaker? In my opinion that’s an awful business model. Second, they’re almost always out of wipes? REALLY makes you question what the staff does… Third, on 2 separate occasions they’ve played a siren that sounds similar to what goes off on FOB when there’s missiles incoming. (Veterans will understand) I’ve called and asked to speak specifically to the manager and complained once and it still happens. As an Army Veteran I find it EXTREMELY ignorant and disrespectful if a complaint was made but the behavior is the same. While leaving the gym you even hear other people complaining as well. Then I stayed one day to watch and all the staff walked out exactly at 11:04pm. I’ve worked in the gym industry before and am a trainer myself. I worked at Chuze Fitness in California where we had to re-rack the weights, clean , shine the gym and count the POS at the end of day. I really don’t understand what the staff does besides stand behind the desk all night and herd people out in a terrible fashion. I used to come to this location out of connivence. Now I will GLADLY drive 25 mins to Matthews or Arboretum where I don’t feel threatened to clean up after other members and the staff are actually welcoming. This is not a gym culture that keeps members motivated and wanting to come back. I attached of picture of the sign as mentioned before and scratched people out of respect. Something this location and the young team members know nothing about.

I usually never write reviews but I felt that it was very necessary. I signed up with a the team who was coming around door to door advertising the gym prior to them opening, when they were offering $1 for the first month and I choose the $10 membership. They took my payment for $1 and then I was sent the rules and regulations for the gym via email. Not once when the team members were talking to me before they took my payment did they mention any rules or the cancelation policy or annual dues. So I signed up and the gym opened the very next month. I tried to cancel weeks before my billing date rolled around and I was told I have to wait 90 days to cancel or pay $50. I asked them why wasn’t I told prior to even signing up. That would mean that even if I wanted to cancel the day after I signed up I wouldn’t have been able to. The lady at the desk told me that, that was the policy and I told her okay I will call back in 90 days to cancel. One month after they opened up I was billed $62 and I found that weird. I called back and was asked why I was billed $62 and I was told that was my annual fee. I looked back at the email I was sent and my annual fee was not set to come out until 9/25 but I was billed on 8/21 which makes no sense at all. I then waited until I was eligible to cancel and called in to cancel and spoke to the manager Trevor who was very nonchalant and didn’t seem to care and not willing to rectify the situation or if a customer was upset or not and I was told now I have to come in person to cancel. I said what if I can’t get there and he told me then you would have to have somebody sign on your behalf or we can’t cancel it for you. I said okay would I be able to take my card off file, he said no you can’t and I told him the card on file won’t go through and he said very smart well if the payment won’t go through then we’re just going to be sending it to collections. I said that makes no sense, I wasn’t even aware of all of the polices prior to signing up and it seems like y’all are trying to keep me in a membership or make me pay money that shouldn’t be paying. He said we sent you out your policy on the date you made your payment and I said correct you did but I had already made a payment which means I was already locked into the contract before y’all sent me that email even it was the same day I made a payment first based off the information I was told in person. He said well you should have read over the documents. I said okay and I asked him when would he be at the gym so I can come down and speak to him. He told me his schedule and I went down to Crunch to speak to him. I walk in and Trevor doesn’t even acknowledge that I walked in and he’s the one at the front desk. I ask him the same thing I just asked him on the phone, why wasn’t I told about the cancelation policy before you took my payment. He said like I told you on the phone the documents were sent over to you and you have to make sure you read them. I said why is it that there is so many customers rating Crunch a 1 star and having the exact same problem that I’m telling you about right now. He said because we just opened and I told him that’s even more reason why you should have great rating. I then asked him is there anything you can or say or anything and he simply told me no, this is the company’s policy there is nothing I can do. You would have to pay the cancellation fee before we could cancel. I then asked Trevor for his bosses email or phone number and he told me he couldn’t give me either one, I asked him for corporates number or email he said he wouldn’t be able to give me either one of those either. He said I can give you our team managers email and have someone email you. I said okay and left. I am highlight dissatisfied and If this is how the management is run at this location I would not recommend you signing up here at all. There is a reason they are only replying to the good reviews and none of the bad ones, and Trevor said himself he does look at all...

First impressions rating here, subject to change as I continue going here. Recently switched from the YMCA of CLT for financial purposes. I'm pretty familiar with Crunch in other states so I was comfortable signing here blindly without a free day pass. So far a pretty good bang for your buck as with any Crunch!

Pros: This is by far the biggest Crunch I've ever been to, and its loaded with all types of BRAND NEW equipment and machines. Everything I think will suffice for a beginner all the way to an amateur bodybuilder/power lifter. The value is the biggest thing about this place. I'm only paying roughly $17 for any kind of equipment I'd need. Energy is pretty great and you really feel like working out hard. Signing up was seamless and took like 5 minutes online. They have tons of promos going on as well, I joined paying a $1 and 30 days free during Veterans day. The location is pretty nice too, close to a lot of stores for easy errands after your workout.

Cons: It's a commercial gym with a capital C, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place for people who want a quiet environment with no crowds. Peak hours are BUSY. Like uncomfortably busy if you're an introvert. It's also about twice the size of any crunch I've been to in Michigan, so twice the crowd is really saying something. I did wait on a machine and power rack, not too long though (I've had worse at the Y). Its honestly not a big deal, I can get used to it. Parking is a bit annoying, as you can imagine, but at least you don't have to park in a parking garage across the street like you do in some gyms (cough Dowd YMCA cough). Small nit pick but I wish they had normal lockers as an option in addition to the temporary combo ones (it's a small learning curve on using one and I can imagine people accidentally locking their stuff in the temp ones).

Overall I think the price you pay is most definitely worth it and negates any cons. I'd personally recommend the cheapest if you're trying to maximized savingsbor the most premium membership if you like classes and amenities (as well as bring a buddy). The mid tier one is in an awkward price point since the Crunch locations are a bit spaced out in CLT, but hey if you happen to travel often to a place that has another crunch here's an option for that situation. I'm saving a ton of money and getting a pretty good workout with little compromise. I'm OK with the 17 ish minute drive to get here, but if you live in Steele Creek, I'd sign up here with zero hesitation. If you like lifting heavy or like saving money, and don't mind crowds, this is the...

I joined as a founder of this gym back in June, myself and my wife were excited and when opening week came we had great experiences. The staff were cordial and welcoming, but unfortunately on August 8th we had to inform them that we would have to leave the gym. They informed us that we would have to either cancel in September because there is a 90 day clause from the gym opening or pay a 50 dollar fee in order to cancel. We had to make the decision quick due to timing and decided to pay the 50 dollar fee. I was assured that I would not be charged again and that this would be the end of our membership after the 21st of August by Shawn M. My wife reiterated that question because of the things she had read about on Reddit with this company continuing to charge people after they cancelled.

Well august 29th rolls around and we are out of state. Two charges for 87.25 appear on my credit card. I call up crunch and the young lady states that she knows what happened, apparently now this wasn’t a cancelation fee (even though we reiterated to two separate employees that if we pay that 50 dollars we would be canceling the memberships) but that it is a cancellation request and that corporate denied it. Never received any information, phone call, email, etc… stating this new found information. I ask her what we are going to do about this and she says she will send an email to the regional vice president…. I ask her if they will reach out to me and she says she doesn’t know…. I ask if I can get the number or email to them, she again says no… I ask to be CCed on the email and she says she doesn’t feel comfortable because it is her personal email… ( what corporation uses personal emails for correspondence?) so I ask what I am supposed to do next then if I have nothing to stand on? I told her do I need to cancel my cards and my bank account since they have this on file? She says don’t do it until the 22nd of next month because I might get refunded by the regional vice president, and says that if I haven’t heard anything by August 18th or so to “kill my bank accounts.” All in all this place is scammy and already leaning in to terrible business practices. If she would have just said it was a mistake and that she will look in to it and get back to me by week’s end, I wouldn’t have resorted to all of this. Unfortunately that’s not the way they...
