Look at your receipts for add ons! I went in with my teenage son, so that he could get a game that he had been saving his hard earned allowance money for. He knew exactly how much it would cost with tax before going in. I let him handle the transaction as I sat in the background listening, so he could learn how to do things like this on his own. As I sat there, I hear the employee ask him if he wants to upgrade to a deluxe version. My son politely tells him "No" and then has to tell him 2 more times as the gentleman is being pushy. I was proud of how polite he was. Then, he rings him up and my son comes over to me and says that he is short and doesn't understand. I go to the register to see that "Matt" the employee has added on "insurance/warranty" without asking him. In all my years of shopping at GameStop, they have always asked first. When I ask "Matt" if he asked him, he says that he used the "assumptive approach". Why would you assume he would say yes to another add on when he has told you No already 3 times on another add on sale. I ask his manager if this is how the store operates. The manager takes it off the ticket, but never apologizes to me or my son. Both the manager and Matt, should be ashamed for trying to take advantage of my son like that. No telling how many people have gotten the warranty added on off "the assumptive approach". That's called lying and stealing where I'm from. Read moreI wish I can give no star! We just had worst customer service from 'store leader Noah' he was very rude from the start to the end. My husband wanted to use store credit he had and Noah said just swipe the card, which he did and follow through the payment process. When my husband asked him if credit was taken Noah responds I dont know look at the receipt. The credit was not there and when my husband asked him why he didnt let him know he said he didnt see it on his side and start blaming my husband saying he process payment too fast. Kept blaming my husband with rudeness and no apologies. After few mins he said sorry but still blaming my husband and saying what can he do to make it better. Return the product and start over and stuff. Also he lied saying he apologized from the start and offer to redo the transaction which was a lie... If Noah handle thi situation with better attitude from start it would have cause any issue. I tried to ask which sd card to buy but nobody knew what would be the right size so I went with a 64 gb. When I got home I realized the sd card I purchased was too big (my fault) and his copy of Ultra Moon wouldnt work on my system or his. Been trying for 3 days to call and see about a return but nobody picks up. I know the influx of customers here and I dont believe its busy enough for one person not to pick up.
