Premier Pools & Spas — Attraction in Charlotte

Overall our experience with Premier Pools was very good. We always had positive experiences while working with John in Sales. He offered and explained in detail our options and any possible hurdles along the way. We agreed on a fiberglass shell, which was the perfect size for our yard. At some point during the process of handing the project from John to Aric, our project manager, there was a few items discussed with John that were lost in the transition to Aric. We lost out on a water fountain feature (as the bubbler initially included could not be installed due to the clay dirt in our yard). However, they did provide a credit and installed an after market attachment to one of the jets in its place. We were also to have our gutter downspout attached to the pool drain as it now just drains directly on to the pool concrete that was poured. This was discussed with John initially, but was never relayed to the PM and unfortunately missed during the concrete install. In addition, during the project, there were several times we were unaware of the status of install. I felt myself reaching out to our PM for constant updates and schedules for the next steps; to the point where we had a gigantic hole dug in our yard with no temporary/safety fencing in place and no notice or timetable for when our pool shell would be installed. He was able to quickly remedy it and have a crew back that evening to install the temporary fencing around the hole. It took our PM a couple weeks to get acclimated to our project and then after that point, we were satisfied with the updates and involvement/quality checks that were made during install. All in all, we are pleased with the final product and certainly enjoy the addition of a pool to our home. We look forward to many years of fun and relaxation in our yard!

UPDATE: I recently contacted our PM Aric to obtain the grout color as some of the grout between the travertine tile was cracking/missing and wanted to get it replaced. As I understood it, there was no warranty on the grout work per contract. Aric answered me immediately and quickly sent a contractor out to my home to review the work. A couple days later the crew returned and replaced the damaged grout. To my surprise, there wasn’t any charges for this which we were very thankful and appreciative of. Thank you...

Premier Pools and Spa-Charlotte did an Amazing job constructing and finishing our freeform pool!!! From the very start, Matt Burkett was Fabulous to work with. When we asked him questions or for his opinions, he was direct and honest with his suggestions. He took his time with us and did not rush us to make quick decisions. He was hands on in helping us finalize our pool design because we wanted a pool that looked like it came w/our home – not an “addition”. He even spent time helping us make – what seemed difficult at the time – color decisions from the Pebble Sheen to the Travertine decking – met us at the tile store and took us to a few jobsites so we could see the actual colors. Aric Barker was our Project Manager, and he was Fantastic to work with!! He too was completely hands on throughout the entire project. He stayed in communication with us while staying on top of all aspects of the construction process all the way to the finished product and still checks in on us after construction was finalized – 6 mths later. We were impressed with the quality of workmanship from the subs who worked with Premier on our pool. Of course, no construction project is without a few “things” that come up during the process. When that that did happen, and we expressed concerns, Aric and Matt would arrive on scene and immediately found the underlying cause of what was going on and got it fixed. Aric did an excellent job throughout the entire project. We would HIGHLY recommend Matt, Aric & Premier Pools & Spa!!! Because of their integrity and diligence in standing by their word from the beginning and throughout the construction process, we have no doubt they will continue to stand by their finished product should we ever have a need. When we say we could not be happier nor more pleased with our final product – our New Vacation Oasis – that is a complete understatement!! BEFORE discovering Premier Pools and Spas, I had started a pool project with another well known pool company, spanning two years. Initially influenced by the trend of COVID pool projects, I chose them. However, shortly after, we unexpectedly decided to move.

I am currently undertaking a large home renovation, and Aric’s project management made this pool project the easiest of all my home remodeling projects. My family absolutely loves the pool! The kids are having a blast, and seeing their joy confirms that choosing Premier Pools and Spas was absolutely the perfect decision.
