Went here due to a work colleague saying its their favorite place to eat. Pro tip that I've been told is that you need to dine in for the full experience. There has been issues with take out getting too soggy due to the clamshell carryout container. And that's been the main criticism. But not this time. This time we sat down at the 6-seater in the back. Number one, you will be overwhelmed by the menu. It's just got a ridiculous amount of items that all have a number, which are not in consecutive order. Annoying for those who feel like they have OCD but really don't. Number two, the servers are very nice and check up on you the right amount. The food came out in a reasonable time and was pretty good. I thought the bread on my Montfort special was pretty fresh and delicious, could have used another couple pickles on the side though; you only get two bread and butter slices. Not a deal breaker. Prices are really not bad at all for it's location in Southend. Typical just the location drives the price through the roof but this establishment has kept it's prices steady. Happy to see. Was nice to try it out for the first time, wouldn't mind going again to try one of the other hundred menu items, but wouldn't actively convince a group of...
Read moreI placed an order earlier today 10/10/14 around 9:40am, using the Paypal (eat24) app on my phone. I been reading the reviews and some are good and some are not, so I decided to try it out. I got to the store at 10:10am and I told them I had placed an order and I was picking up. I gave them my name and I had to wait 5 minutes, I could tell they forgot to do my order which was the Char-broiled caesar salad, because they were asking me what I wanted in it, when I had already specified online. My time for pick-up was 10:05am
I waited and after 5 minutes someone from the kitchen gave me my food. I went home and when I opened the foam container, all I had was a Big Tortilla Bowl filled with bad lettuce(practically brown) up to the top and just a few pieces of tomatoes, 4 croutons and ONLY, I repeat ONLY 4 tiny strips of Chicken, they weren't like Chicken tender strips, all I had was 4 strips of chicken which looked like they pulled from the breast and were also very cold.
The honey mustard dressing was horrible, very bland.
My total was $10.11 for this salad, which I didn't mind at first, but this is pathetic. I would stick to Subway's Salads around the corner, even they have fresher lettuce.
I don't recommend this...
Read moreWe were long overdue to check out this Charlotte staple! We loved what we tried. I went with the Rosemary Roast Beef which was on a fantastic garlic bread hoagie with a plentiful amount of provolone. The Mayo was the perfect amount and the au jus complemented perfect for a french dip style sandwich. The wife went with a classic Reuben which I tried a bite of and thought was excellent. I enjoyed the crinkle cut french fries and the potato salad is a smooth and flavorful side option. I was surprised to find out we both got a free cup of soup so we went with stuffed cabbage and a spinach artichoke soup; both were rich and hearty! I also got to try a super moist salted caramel fudge brownie. And I would be tempted to say, if they maybe used 1/3 to 1/4 of the salt on top, it might be the best salted caramel brownie I’ve ever had!! Staff was super friendly and I was pleased to see how busy they were inside as I was picking up our order. Ambience is a combination of purple, gray, fluorescent lighting, paintings and illustrations on the wall, and a spacious dining area. Especially during COVID, looks like they’re taking regulations seriously. - Adam from...
