The Restoration Place Church — Attraction in Charlotte

hi!! just wanted to leave a note. so as i have not attended yet, i still want to give my love and appreciation to the members of this church family.

a few months ago i got a new number. and every holiday, i would get a group text. sometimes they would say happy birthday, or simply just spreading love on a random day. you could tell these were just a close group of people. i honestly thought it was a family group chat for months if i’m being completely honest! i have two small boys. jackson, he turned 2 on september 26th. and jameson, he turned 9 months old on december 31st. on january 4th i woke up to a nightmare. my beautiful 9 month baby boy had passed away over night in his sleep. my world ended. but still very randomly my phone would show me a notification from this group chat that would leave a smile on my face and a warmth in my broken heart. yesterday(february 12th) they were texting about the super bowl. i decided to message them back a few times. i then said “i’m not sure who this number use to belong too, i’ve had it a few months now” told them i was a young mother of two, who had just lost my youngest son last month.

without ZERO hesitation multiple members from the group reached out to me. told me this was actually their churches group text message chain. and how they would be praying for me and my family. but what meant the most was when they invited me to their church with quote “open arms and hearts”. without even knowing me if they had passed me on the street.

so no, i haven’t been to this church. but i know without a shadow of a doubt that this church is full of nothing but good hearted people. who are accepting. who care. and who love. and i don’t know a single soul who wouldn’t want to be apart of such an uplifting community.

It is an energetic and inviting atmosphere that welcomes individuals and families. The people are warm, genuine, love God, love to have fun and they don't make you feel like an outsider if you're not that familiar with church. I'm a new resident and this place is warm, welcoming and the word of God is taught. They have weekly prayer and a first Wednesday flow that is powerful. The transition for me was challenging, however the disciples here makes it worth it all.
