If you’re looking for a basic place to call home base, TownePlace Suites gets the job done. We booked a king studio. Room was clean. For 2 adults + 1 teen, didn’t feel overly crowded if you don’t open up the sofa bed. Kitchen had basic utensils and a full sized fridge. Bathroom was spacious and clean. There was 1 closet with some organization space. You can fit a small carry on in the shelf to keep it out of the way. Breakfast in the morning was decent, they had some mini bagels, bread, cereal, waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee, tea, orange juice and apple juice. There was typically an option for an egg based item. I appreciated that someone was periodically checking and refilling the items. Throughout the day, there is ice water available in the lobby. Now for the not so great- I found the pillows to be flat and worn. The temperature in the room was odd, definitely didn’t feel accurate to what the thermostat was displaying. Sometimes felt too hot other times too cold. The biggest challenge for this location is that there are no groceries or restaurants around that are walking distance. The only thing I found walking distance was the SL3 bus line (just across the street- easily accessible and has covered waiting area). We had to order delivery to get any meals or groceries to the room. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d bring ear plugs. You can hear the bus traffic, the noise in the hallway and the upstairs neighbors walking around above you. The front desk was staffed but the team looked bored/uninterested, didn’t engage unless you walked up to engage, and I was told that you have to physically come down to the desk if you need anything or if you want to request housekeeping. I know this isn’t a 5-star place but a smile and a hello would go a long way.

The staff are very polite and the shuttle service is convenient (you can call their front desk, hit 1 when you get to the messaging machine and the shuttle will pick you up until as late as 1am from locations like the rental car center or train station and terminals). Unfortunately, we were unable to sleep at all as we were placed in a room directly across from the bus station. All night long the bus ran, and with this hotel there are in wall AC units which means the wall is essentially open to the outdoors. You can hear everything outside, including tons of traffic, honking, car music from the cars passing by, etc. it was truly nonstop as well, as we stayed on a Sunday night and I recall waking up at 3am from a motorist screeching his tires. The worst part is you can also smell the diesel and car fumes in the room as they come up from the street. Maybe if you request an interior facing room it will be better. Essentially though we were unable to sleep at all, and given a hotel is meant to provide a restful experience that means I will never come back. It also wasn’t cheap and was in fact quite pricey - in retrospect I should have just booked a place in Boston (maybe Seaport area) and just taken a 10 min Uber into the airport vs staying here. The rooms are also very bare bones - just enough space for a queen bed, and not even a luggage rack (you have to put your suitcase on this rack inside the small closet). Just a very poor experience unfortunately and not one I’d recommend.

- Very noisy bathroom door, it squeaked every time we opened or closed the door. Probably just need to add some oil to lubricate it. - There was some dust on the top of the refrigerator. If this was dusted regularly, I don’t think this much dust would accumulate there. A tall person can easily see this surface. Similarly, the top level of the bar shelf had a visible thin layer of dust which was worse because it was supposed to be transparent glass. - Floor lamp was unplugged. Maybe the previous guest had unplugged it for some reason, but it would be nice if the housekeeper would plug this back in during the cleaning in between guests. - The power cable for the alarm clock was missing. This was something the housekeeper should have noticed and reported to get it replaced. It wasn’t very professional to leave an unusable alarm clock there. - During a rainy day, one of the covered areas in the parking lot had a large pool of water. This might be a more costly issue to fix, but once it is fixed, it would make the hotel safer and also look much better (during a rain day) as people don’t have to drive across a large pool of water. Overall everything else went well. Professional and courteous reception staff. All the public areas were clean and organized. Ample of parking spaces. Shuttle driver/van was always there. Nice large TV and high speed internet.

If I could give zero stars I would. So we have stayed here before and thought it was a decent hotel where we could leave our car for a fee while we were on vacation. This trip however was completely different. When we got to the hotel to check in no one was at the desk so we had to wait. When the associate came out of the office and saw us she looked annoyed. Giving her the benefit of the doubt since we had been driving for 3 hours I was super pleasant and told her we wanted to check in. She began the check in process and we informed her that we would be leaving our car for 7 nights and picking it up upon return from our vacation. She promptly informed me that I could not do that. I said we always do that at this particular hotel when we go to Jamaica and she told me not today you aren't. There was clearly a sign that said we could park for a fee and it was also on the website. She gave my husband a parkng voucher and told him to put it in the car and that of we left our vehicle longer than a night it would be towed that they don't do park and fly in April. While my husband was outside another customer approached the desk and asked for water. The same associate was nasty to him and told him it wasn't free. He told her he was a Bonvoy and a Mastercard member. She said they didn't recognize or participate in anything that provided free water. He stated for $240 a room he should at least get free water. She then said do you want the water or not?. My husband came back in, I asked if there were any sandwich shops I'm the area to order from she said nope nothing you're in the middle of nowhere. We bought 2 waters and went to our room nit wanting to deal with her further. When we got to our roo. We go on the Bonvoy app to see if we could gwt someone to help us. We were completely ignored. We did however find a sandwich shop 10 min away that delivered which was fantastic and we would totally order from again. The room looked decent but there was an atrocious beeping noise coming from outside and we were unable to sleep all night and had to be up at 3 am. Ot to mention the fact that at 10pm we now had to scramble to find a place to park for a week as the terminal we were flying out of ofs parking was closed for a renovation. When we tried to complain and request our money back we were offered Bonvoy points which we refused. This hotels service and hospitality is absolutely atrocious and we will never stay there again. We are loyal Marriot customers and this is not the level of service or response we have come to expect...

As a Gold Rewards Member who gained this status in less than a year, I was highly disappointed with our stay for multiple reasons. I requested early access to my room when I used mobile check in. When I arrived, the front desk associate was very rude off of the bat. She failed to even look up my information in the computer and did not seem to care if I was a member or not. For all she knew, I could have been a platinum member. I completely understand if I am not able to gain access to my room early, however, it is unacceptable to treat a guest who walks up to your counter with such rudeness to start their stay. When I had come back to check in at about 10:45pm (about 12 hours later), I was provided with much better service at the front desk. My FiancĂŠ and I went to our room, but our keys did not work so I went back to the front desk to get them recoded. They did not work a second time so a staff member came up to the room to assist. The new keys that they brought also did not work. He used a universal key to gain access to the room, however a guest was already inside who thankfully put the door stop on. This made us very uncomfortable for the rest of our stay because walking in on another guest is unacceptable. The reasoning behind the confusion was that the other guest had the same last name as me... We were given a new room, but the shower did not work properly. We also received a wake up call at 5:30 am that we did not request. When we left earlier than planned due to being so uncomfortable, we shared our experience with the manager. He showed no feelings towards what had happened during our stay. He never even said sorry for getting the rooms confused. He said thank you for sharing your experience and was vague with being able to give me points or a discount. I was told I would be getting the points that I had used to pay for the room back on my account, however they have yet to appear.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, nor will I bet returning. I chose this location due to a slightly higher rating than a near by Marriott and I could not regret that decision enough. The staff was rude and not caring towards a rewards member. I certainly did not feel like a Gold member at this hotel at all. If you are a rewards member that feels honored to stay at Marriott hotels, do not stay at this one! Make the extra drive to have a...

I was here for one week on a work trip. All in all the stay was not bad but that's due to their wonderful staff. The hotel itself could probably use an update sooner than later.

Pro's Mike is awesome, he helped me so much during my stay. He was always super kind and has awesome customer service. -The shuttle drivers are all awesome humans as well as well as pretty much everyone at the front desk. They really made the stay. -The room does have a fully equipped kitchen with all supplies and the front desk offers anything else you may need during your stay. -The office chair that was in the room was kind of subpar, I requested a different one and the engineer brought up a new one, which i'm so grateful for because I spent a lot of time at that desk lol. Otherwise it probably would have been absolutely agonizing. -White noise machine in the room -TV's are large and you can add your netflix account -Never had any issues with wifi, i worked one of my jobs remotely while I was there and never even a hiccup. -The business center helped me out a lot with printing documents.

Cons -The breakfast was a little disappointing. I understand it is free and some days it is good, but most days it wasn't, but it also is FREE, so I mean..can you complain? They at least had apples and bananas which I always grabbed. -The shower had pubes in it upon my arrival. -Housekeeping was "every other day", but only came once. -The fridge, even on the lowest setting ruined some of my food and froze it. Try to keep your items at the bottom. -I had a room facing the bridge, it can get noisy and annoying. -Parking is hella expensive, but that is Boston for you.it's $20 per day. -Only one washer worked in the laundry room, which is kind of hidden, had to ask the staff where it was at. I prefer to leave with clean clothes but was unable to do so, because I was not waiting in there to claim the washer. Only thing that really frustrated me. I told them though, hopefully they get it fixed. -Like others have said, it is not in an optimal location per se, but there is public transit literally right next door. Use the moovit app to navigate the transit system, so much easier.

The staff was super accommodating and that made the stay so much better!! It's a perfect setup if you're here for work and prefer to make your own meals...
