Was told to come here if you want to try the best minutas around, so I did and it did not disappoint. They were absolutely delicious! I got the mango flavored ones and it tasted like actual mango. The store also has other spanish snacks and beverages as well as food it's small located next to a dunkin donuts. It also sells ice cream and fruit shakes. So if you are in the mood for a refreshing smoothie or minutas you definetly need to come check out this place!

I got a minuta (Peruvian snowcone) with Tamarindo and Diablito which is lime, salt and Chamoy. It was delicious, and the tamarindo is definitely house made, with all the pits still in the sauce which really makes it look fresh. My husband got coconut and banana and it had the best coconut flavor with chunks of coconut. They’re super nice, and also the store has lots of Peruvian products which makes me want to try out some Peruvian recipes.

Great variety of peruvian products! They had everything that I was looking for: alfajores, budin, chicha morada, turrones and much more. A very small store, but packed with a lot of great stuff.

I've bought on this Hispanic store a couple of times but the lack of transparency on the prices of products is concerning. I suggest to ask only the OWNER, NOONE ELSE, about the price of a product when it doesn't have a price tag. They should stick a price tag on each shelf so customers will know how much an item is. Don't get fooled by the owner who is a "smarty-pants" lady because she will find a way to overcharge you if you don't ask. Remember to ALWAYS, ALWAYS ask for the price, otherwise you'll be paying more for a product...

A regular hole in the wall, Frio Rico hides the secrets of the universe. The Shave Ice Universe, that is. For a part of town that's a little low in the ice cream department, this shave is is a lifesaver. A large mound of fluffy shave ice coated in mango syrup with a slice of mango on the side and drizzled in sweetened condensed milk will run you around $3.50. It's cold, tastes like REAL FRUIT, and amps you up for a beach day. Don't be turned off by the dirty atmosphere…the proof is in the pudding...

Shaved Ice. It was the reason we went back there. First went there about 5years ago on a trip to Boston. It was so good and we had talked about going back if we ever got back to Boston. Trouble was we didn't know the name of the place, only that we had walked there from the airport thru a park, and that there was a Dunkin' near by. YAY for Google maps! It took a while but we found it and walked the mile and a half to get there...it IS that good. And...
