Greenbrier Mall — Attraction in Chesapeake

We took the kids this morning for a published event for coloring trick or treat bags, goodies, followed by trick or treating at the stores. The kids were greatly disappointed! Only approximately a dozen stores participated and just about all of them gave out lollipops! This was supposed to be a fun family event that just seemed like today’s normal scam to bring in customers to shop! For a parent to get children in their costumes and arrive 10a-12p and to drive there with gas prices high to receive something so poorly prepared! Some stores stated they had no idea about the event and had nothing to give the kids! We won’t be falling for this again in the future! In such a nice area of town and has a decent selection of your run of the mill, expected mall stores however the vibe of the mall feels like a run-down funeral parlor. It's just older now and well-"loved". Always empty, which is nice if you don't like crowds but almost to a point of crickets. Lots of stores closing or have closed in just the year we've lived here. The kids playland benches and climb-on toys are literally duct taped together. No background music to create any atmosphere and is always too hot & humid. Very poor a/c in the summer. I want to love this mall because it has great potential and interaction with personnel is always pleasant. Greenbrier Mall opened in October 1981 . There are some big retail stores like Macy’s, Dillard, JCPenney,H&M ,Victoria secret and cinema , jewelry shops, clothes stores, eyes checking, shoes, GMC vitamins ,massage store, Indian jewelry shops, lots of kiosk run by individual persons like phone repair,watches,perfumes electronic and electronic accessories. if you want coffee shop is also there and convenient store too,once you’re there you can eat while shopping in the food court, mobile phones providers many more small stores.
