I wish ai could give a 0 star, I’ve been almost 2 months now without a couch that I purchased and paid in full. But let’s start at the beginning.
I was on facebook market looking for couches and this one caught my eye. I was speaking with a sale rep through messenger and we made a time to go view the couch with the Chesapeake location that had it. I live in Hampton mind you. So it took me an hour and 20min to get there thanks to construction traffic, but when I arrive they don’t have the couch. The Facebook market sale rep said she spoke to their in store representative to let them know I was arriving. She is showing me OTHER couches and after we look at them I tell her these aren’t the couches I came to see. I pull up the couch from Facebook that says it’s at that location and after searching through their system, they never had it. They never updated it according to the sales rep I was speaking to. So I’m miffed and frustrated that I drove all that way to get a couch that wasn’t there. I go ahead and order it through them and promised it would only take 2-3weeks and I pay in full. My birthday is Nov 5th so it should have been there before this time and I could host a part and housewarming party at the same time. Wrong. I still don’t have a couch. I start reaching out to the Fb messenger sales rep about my concerns of being scammed. She is EQUALLY as surprised as I am that not only do I not have the couch, NO ONE has contacted me to offer any updates. So she starts asking around and a day later I get a call from the Chesapeake store that only lasted about :40 seconds (I have the screen shot). I have this because I sent it to the online Sales Rep upset that all they said is they don’t know where or why my order is taking so long and ask for patience. They clearly are only reaching out to me a day after I reached out to the online rep but didn’t even bother to check. The online rep tells me there is an issue with the factory she guess and I tell her I would like to speak to the manager. She gives me the Chesapeake number and guess what. It’s not even the Chesapeake store. I got some other stores number and complained to a man who had no idea what my order was. F’ing hilarious am I right? So I the sales rep what’s going on, as the number wasn’t the stores. She apologizes and gives me a new number which I call and leave a voice mail. The manager calling me back is again not the Chesapeake locations manager but this time the Newport News manager. I find this out after I again complained to her about what’s going on. She had the next day off but promised to call me with an update even tho it was her day off I appreciated that. Next day came and passed and no info. The following day she contacted me via text message at 10:08 am apologizing that she had doctors appointments and kid stuff. They contacted the factory and said my order would be expedited and arrive before 2 weeks which is the time frame the Sales online manager gave me. Well in 2 days it will be two weeks and I still haven’t heard anything from anybody. The number of times they have wasted my time, not even bothered to fact check their info on multiple accounts, even with the spelling of my NAME (they misspelled my first and last name) shows their immensely poor efforts to even bother communicating with their clients. I want my money back. I couldn’t host my birthday party, I couldn’t hoist a house warming party at my first new place, and I can’t even host thanksgiving. I regret ever giving this place a chance. Thanks for ruining things that mattered to me and wasted my time and efforts on multiple occasions. To all other people, DO NOT SHOP AT ANY OF THESE STORES UNLESS THE ITEM YOU LIKE IS ACTUALLY THERE. They might...
Read moreDo not and I mean do not order or buy anything from this poorly ran store. I ordered a table September 9th and was told it would be available October 12th. Today is October 22nd, and guess what? I still don’t have a table. Someone should have called and communicated this with me. I even requested a refund and they want to give me the display table and wobbly chairs and yeah, $25 off that particular display set.
The delivery was supposed to happen after 3 today, October 22nd; 4pm comes and I haven’t received a call or delivery. I call to get an ETA and they obviously have caller ID, because no one answers the phone initially. Any other day I’ve called, the phone is answered by the 3rd ring, but I digress. After the 10th attempt, I get someone. It’s Melissa and you can already feel her attitude through the phone. She automatically tells me you got your delivery and I had not. Then she makes excuses and I asked why wasn’t there a 2-3 hour window for delivery like most professional companies? Or at least someone to call to give an update or tentative ETA. That way I could plan accordingly. I left work early to ensure I was home in time. She then tells me I’m impatient. This was after she hung up on me, but claimed she didn’t when I called back. Typically victim behavior . I asked for the manager and the other nice lady and conveniently she’s the only one there.
Please don’t waste your time or money with them. Go elsewhere. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Worst experience buying something as simple as a dining room table. I see why there wasn’t anyone in the store the 2 times I had to go there to find out...
Read moreI felt like they didn't value my patronizing their store. I was told when I came back to purchase something else that he ,Patrick, would give me his very best price, since we spent 2200.00 on a table set and a mattress. We returned to purchase another mattress. I called Wayne over and he seemed surprised that I called him over in the first place. So he proceeds to give us his best price on a 246.00 mattress . $20.00 off, his best price was $20.00 off the listed price. I felt insulted and sickened as I had been duped into taking the word of a guy whose only interest in making the first offer was to close the big sale. My advice is to get your best deal the first time and decide to move on to the next best deal. Don't patronize any business based on the assumption that they really value your patronage. I mentioned that I would review the business on his inability to keep his word. He shrugged as if MY review would mean nothing to him and his business in the grand scheme of things. It may not, but at least I have shared my experience and cleared my spiritual palate. It's not likely I'll even consider them as a place to do business in the future. Yes it's about the money and it's not about the money. We are blessed that we can purchase most any place we patronize. For me it's about relationship, as I learned from 20 + years in the automotive repair business, people don't spend money with you if they...
