I cannot see how anyone can give a review of more than 1 star. They must have come in late, and left early never really spending any meaningful time here. Even in other reviews, they state the issues. I think I had one shower where the water was actually hot. I needed something from the front desk which required the manager & was told she was eating which I couldn't believe I was actually told that. I stated I would stand there until she was finished, but she wasn't eating and came walking in from the hallway.. I needed to get quarters for the laundry and as they had none, suggested I walk out in the freezing rain & wind to a gas station. Again, can't believe I was told that. I myself would have told the guest to wait there and I would have walked over myself to get them for the guest, or had maintenance open the laundry machines to get quarters out. The housekeepers (who on the bright side are very sweet when greeting them in the hallway) play loud music on their cell phones while carrying on a conversation with another housekeeper in the next room, so if you are looking to sleep in, or for peace & quite to study or otherwise, forget it. Another individual responsible for vacuuming the hallways can be found leaning against a wall, texting. Often. And at both ends of the hallway. Obviously the manager does not make rounds to check on their workers. Several employees would be seen blatantly walking through the hotel with no mask. I guess the sign does read "guests" must wear a mask, so the employees aren't required. I think someone goes around first thing in the morning and checks rooms before housekeeping gets in their. That must include flushing the toilet and the toilet on the adjacent room would run, sometimes for hours and load as a waterfall. It took myself reporting it several times for someone to finally fix it. When you call the Hampton Inn line, to include the front desk the prerecorded voices greets you with a "Welcome to the Hampton Inn where breakfast is fresh and hot." Hah! It's horrible! Several times now there was nothing hot and after waiting for upwards of 20 minutes, had to get going and dealt with a small container of yogurt, a banana & bottle of water.. Pretty much well below any standard of any breakfast of any hotel I have stayed in, and I travel a lot. The rooms are small, barely enough room to do push ups, definitely no oblique crunches. No easy chair in which to be able to sit and read a book. No newspapers offered in which to catch up on the days events. The hotel is located on an extremely busy road where at a minimum, every 30 seconds a vehicle easily acquires a speed double the posted speed limit, so to say it's noisy is an understatement. There is no way I would allow my company to allow myself or any other employee to stay here after this. There are a string of hotels a few blocks from here that aren't on a busy/noisy road, have roomy rooms, newspapers to read and chairs in which to sit and enjoy reading them in and employees that work. Quietly. And put the...
Read moreIf you go to Virginia, please do not ever stay here!!! I went this weekend to stay on 06/28/24-6/30/24. We got there; they had canceled our reservation and had to reinstate it. I fixed that problem. We were okay until my kids went to lay down and the sheets had old blood on them. I requested that the sheets be changed. Management told me they would let housekeeping know in the morning. So my kids had to sleep on the bed with me. The management or front desk staff assured us it would be taken care of, as well as providing us with 5, 000 Hilton Honors points. So I thought everything was okay after that. The next morning housekeeping came to change sheets; they wanted us to leave our room. We didn’t want to because we had items of value in our room, like cash, our credit and debit cards, our kids PlayStation 5, and our laptops and cell phones. So we asked if we could stay in the room until they changed the sheets. They got mad at us and started talking to each other. At first, the housekeeper gave the sheets to my son so he could do it. The husband asked her, Isn’t it your job to do it?". Long story short, there was no confrontation, arguing, or hostile talk. We thanked them, and that was it. Check-out day comes. As always, we cleaned the room, and I took a video of the room. We went to breakfast because we checked out around 7:45 and stayed down the stairs to eat breakfast. I turned the keys in with no complaints or issues whatsoever. Boom, fast forward. I got back to North Carolina, checked my card, and they charged me $250 on top of what the hotel cost. The biggest problem is that I’ve never picked up a cigarette in my life, and my husband doesn’t smoke. My kids also have asthma. Everyone who knows me knows I don’t smoke at all. We called corporate and the hotel we stayed at. They said the room smelled like smoke. The people that were involved were Nicole, Kayla, and a lady named Trina. General manager Johnathon was also involved was rude and hung up on me several times . Said he wasn’t going to do anything about it . They basically placed a false charge on my account because they wanted to steal or whatever else and have done this to other guests from what I’ve looked at on the internet. So I would like to make them go viral. Lying and stealing from another person should be investigated by my company. They are saying they can’t do anything about it.This has never happened at any Hilton I’ve every stayed at . They need to be fired and a whole knew staff !! I also called corporate as well as the better business bureau. You don’t get to take people hard earn money . Good thing I didn’t leave a tip . Other parents and guest were complaining about staff as well see other guest reviews below this place been horrible this was my 1st...
