Weis Markets — Attraction in Chestnuthill Township

I've been having a few problems with this store lately.. i get my seafood here and they been going bad when I told the person in the seafood department my problem they told me while LAUGHING "they not going bad that how they look" um.... mold and black like tare and white hairs is how they look ive been eatting crabs for 28yrs ive never in my life had crabs of any kind look like that. its call seafood poisoning 😩 idk who the hell would not tell them they selling bad seafood...

my problem is with the seafood department not the whole store let's get that clear...

plus they called them hot and spicy no names like blue crab or snow crabs just hot and spicy 🤨 you hate your job that much!?!

Absolutely amazing store been coming here for years as I live right up the road! Jennifer who works on Saturdays at self checkout is absolutely amazing I look forward to coming in and shopping and talking to her recently I was dealing with a death in the family and she even checked in on me today to make sure I was fine I am normally not a very social person but she always make me feel welcomed and cared about and I look forward to seeing her every week I spend at least $400 a week on groceries with my large family and never go anywhere else! Shop rite across the street is always full of people and is overhyped and annoying (tourists over locals) I do my best to never go there. This weis alone has make me loyal and never go to any other grocery store even if I have to go out of my way at other locations. Jennifer and Lynn- (I believe is her name she works self checkouts daytime during the week) are the best employees I've ever encountered and really make me enjoy have to do an expensive and daunting part of life. I have always liked Weis but I hate the self check outs. I had a decent amount of groceries and only 1 register open with 3 in line. It may be making weis money but their customers hate them. I always used them when I had a small amount of groceries and had issues with them too and always needing someone to scan their id to fix something is such a pain. I thought I posted this a long time ago and just realized now that I didn't. Now I won't use self checkout lanes anywhere anymore. I've heard too many horror stories about people being arrested for shoplifting when it was a computer error and they didn't realize it. Walmart is infamous for this. I have a friend who lives in Florida, she was buying something for her daughter, I don't remember what, cost 5 or less. She thought the register scanned it and put it in her bag and just kept scanning. She ended up getting arrested. I've never had an issue at Weis, I just don't like self checkouts.
