Recently I decided to return to school for the second time (Yikes). I also decided to reach out to the Advisor that assisted me the first time around John Bassmaji. The reason I reached out to John was due to my first experience with him. He's a ball of positive energy, has a pleasant smile, takes interest in YOU and YOUR FAMILY, and he's stylish too!! I say this to say anyone that has it together can definitely help me get it together. He asked all the right questions - he asked about my career, where did I see myself in the next 3 to 5 years, family life and support and pointed out that while my desire of wanting to take a full class load was admirable, he had a way of guiding me to take it a little slower to focus on my grade-point average as well as finding ways to ensure that my work life and family didn't take a back seat to me continuing my education. After the registration process was complete, John continued to reach out with check-in emails, educational opportunities as well as soliciting raw and uncut feedback on how he's doing. How's that for transparency!!! A week into class, John blasted out a very detailed step by step email regarding the first week with so much helpful information, I still have it printed and in my binder. Advisors like John are needed, the ability to help someone fulfill their life's dream of completing their education should not be taken lightly. I truly appreciate the time that John puts in and will always remember walking through his door on the day I decided to complete my life long dream of earning my degree. I would like to take a moment to thank Alex Jansen and Antioch Nickerson. These two have been like angels sent from heaven to guide me down my path for greatness. When I first signed up I wasn't sure if I was making the right move signing up for online classes because I work a full-time job as a shift supervisor at Walgreens and I'll admit it was times I thought about not doing so. Let me tell you; Antioch walked me through the process of admissions step by step and helped me come up with a plan that fits my personal schedule as well as my work schedule. Even after class started she checked in on me just to make sure I settled in and was comfortable with my choices. Just when I thought that was the end and since I am taking online classes I figured there would probably be little to no contact with anyone else besides my instructor my but then Alex Jansen stepped in. Alex checks in on me almost every week even if it is just to talk me off the ledge as we say lol but i definitely wouldn't have made this far without him. He's there for every question and if doesn't have the answers then he'll do a little research and get back to me right away. Everytime there's an issue he has my back. He even went so far as to help me figure the best time for homework. Talk about above and beyond, I mean yes their jobs are to assist but these two take the extra mile and I can tell they're genuine with they're kind and motivating words. I only ask that if I get another advisor that they're at least half of these two. They really set the bar. Thanks a million Alex and Antioch. #powerteam...

I'm really impressed with the level of attention and care the staff give to their students. John Bassmaji is my admissions advisor and has made enrolling to continue my education the easiest thing ever. He is extremely thorough and helpful and is proactive in following up with me on a regular basis to make sure I'm where I need to be during this process as well as ensuring that I'm aware of all of the resources available to me as a returning student. Bre Tsokolas is my career advisor, she also is very thorough and has gone above any expectations I had. When I needed help with creating a resume my first time as a student, I reached out to her and not only did she produce one that was beyond anything I could have done (it really is an amazing resume), but she took the extra step and created a starter cover letter that I could use as a template to create a personalized letter. Anytime other time I've reached out to her she has responded quickly, and has been so encouraging during my job search.
