4/14/23 - My wife and I stayed here for a weekend. Located right in Chinatown which is nice, since you have a variety of restaurant to choose from. As for parking, we parked 1 block down in the parking lot for 2 days and it was only 32 dollars, which is cheap compared to parking in downtown Chicago. The area is safe, full of life during the day and night so it could be noisy at times until the business closes down for the night. We were on the 5th floor and our room was facing Chinatown/downtown Chicago which has a nice view to it. The hotel was nice, quick check-in, looks modernized on the inside, and was cheaper than other hotels in the area. There is a microwave and seating/table in the lobby area for if you want to heat food. The room was small, no bath tub, only shower, which is fine. We did find one boxer brief hanging behind the bathroom door which was the only thing we didn't like. So for the cleaning crew, please check behind the bathroom door. Overall, a great location in Chinatown, cheaper than most hotels in the area. Great place to stay if you are visiting. No amenities.

The receptionist was very friendly when we checked in. Before that, we called to ask where we should park and she was helpful over the phone. She told us to park at the Chinatown Public Parking Lot, which is $16 for 24 hours. The hotel check in time was at 3PM and check out at 11AM. They lock their doors to the public at 8PM. If you have your hotel key card, you can scan that and get into hotel past 8PM too. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and near everything in Chinatown. It’s right across from the Chinatown Square and the Chinese American Veteran Memorial. It’s also pretty close to the main road with all the restaurants and cafes. Our experience and stay here was really comfortable. The hotel room we stayed in was a double bed room that came with a mini fridge, a TV, full bathroom with soap, shampoo, and body lotion. Our total price for our stay was $152.63 for 1 night after booking it through Hotels.com

My wife and I were there from 8/7/25 through check out 8/10/25. I am big on customer service, cleanliness and surroundings. The staff were very friendly. The hotel was clean. No odors, no pest! It was just the two of us. We had a Queen Size bed. If you are taking a family you might wanna get a larger room, but for us it was perfect. You also get wifi! The housekeeper respected us and waited for us to leave to tidy our room. Vending and ice machine on each level. We were asked for a $100 deposit during check in. Hours after we checked out it was refunded back to my card. No waiting for days. That was a plus. If we were to visit Chicago again we would stay here. The Cons: No parking and the street in front of the hotel was busy. Uber was our best friend. We weren't around any fast food places, but this was Chinatown. Starbucks next door and Asian restaurants everywhere. Thanks again for the kind service.

If you want to feel welcomed (all customers) and treated as equal( Chinese) this is not your place. With the same price you can get any decent hotels around town. The service doesn't exist, and I can only conclude that it's the result of poor management and lack of staff education.

Service So they promo that they can serve you in multi language. Heard them speak Chinese so when we tried to check-in we spoke to her in Chinese, the girl completely ignored us and was extremely rude. Just repeated "the name, the name, the name." I assume you don't need to be polite or nice to the customers if you work in Jaslin Hotel, since she didn't even bother to use the magical words like please or thank you. Thank god we've been studying, working and living in the U. S over a decade otherwise there was no way for this Chinese speaking girl to check us in that day. I guess you must hide your Chinese identity otherwise you will get racially discriminated. Well, I am no stranger to mean words or Asian hate but this is the first time from another Chinese. Stunned and disgusted. Rooms Small, that's it, better than motels full of crackheads though. Depends on how much you are paying for this tiny room, if you got yourself a good deal and pay less, this is not bad. If not, might wanna consider taking your business somewhere else. Location Great location if you are there for some good Chinese food, literally just a block away. It's close to the subway and only 5,6 stops away from downtown, so for those sightseeing tourists it 's somewhat convenient too.

I speak multi languages too, but it's a shame I can only be served unless I...

Stayed here from out of state for a conference being held at McCormmick Place. Staff is friendly and flexible - I arrived hours too early for check in, they held my luggage and were clear about when I could come back and access my room without an early check in fee. When I got locked out of my room they had a replacement temp key in my hands in less than 30 seconds! They were great with keeping my room clean and stocked with fresh towels and toiletries. And I can’t emphasize how friendly they were - I’m from Nebraska so that goes a long way!

The entire hotel from the entrance and lobby, the elevators, hallways, and my room are all very clean. I slept like a baby, even though there’s a busy street just outside. I loved my view of Chinatown and then the loop skyscrapers just behind. They have blackout curtains which are great for sleep.

I had no safety issues here or in the surrounding area. I did walk to and from the hotel to McCormmick Place throughout the day (morning afternoon and late). If someone didn’t travel much or wasn’t from a bigger city they may not feel comfortable but it would be unfounded. The elevators in the hotel can only be activated with a guest card.

Overall very happy with my stay!

Only con was a minor musty smell in my room. You put a card in to turn electricity on in the room and I think as a result air doesn’t circulate much. I only noticed it walking in, it goes...

Very nice place and good pricing. It's on the cheaper size compared to other available hotels in Chicago but it's very well located (it has a couple of bus stops just in front and the L is only a block away, it took about 15 mins to get downtown via bus or the L), has a ton of nice restaurants nearby, the neighborhood felt pretty safe and it was very beautiful.

The room was nice, although a tad bit smaller than we expected seeing the pictures jsdjs but still very good, comfortable and very very clean! the bathroom was amazing too and the shower worked perfectly. The Wi-Fi, too, was speedy and useful. It had a working fridge and a TV (though we didn't turn it on but we assume it was working jsjdjs). We didn't find it noisy but maybe it's because we got to the hotel dead tired every night.

The only downside (? I would say is that maybe the staff weren't the most friendly jsdjs but they did help us when we needed it and solved our problems so I can't really complain too much about that.

My friend and I traveled from Chile for Lollapalooza and stayed for 5 nights and 6 days. We mostly used the place to sleep only and didn't really spent much time inside but overall it was a really good experience and at a really good price! Would highly recommend if you're looking for a relatively cheap place that's also comfortable and well located but not in the centre...
