Super busy place, very packed!!! Come early!!! We came on a Friday evening around 9:00 p.m thinking that this place wouldn't be too busy but we were wrong. It was extremely packed like people didn't have any place to sit that's how busy and packed it was. I was walking around craving something really simple nothing too heavy and I saw a sign posted outside of Joyee plus promoting their new sandwiches (bahn mi) it looked really appetizing and light so I decided to try it. Good idea to post a sign outside their restaurant door promoting their sandwiches I wouldn't have stopped in if I hadn't seen the sign outside promoting them. But because I saw the sign and saw that it looked tasty I went into order. The woman that took my order was a little bit rude when I stated that I wanted to add avocado to my sandwich. She said that she would remove the carrots and the onions if I add avocado and I asked her why since it already comes with the sandwich. She said it will be extra for the avocado and I said that was fine. It was $1.50 for avocado which I didn't mind paying. I just don't like that she assumed that I didn't want to pay extra for toppings So she was going to sub the carrots and onions for the avocado. Not everyone is a cheapskate and I don't mind paying extra for an ingredient if that's what I want!! I didn't like her attitude saying that I couldn't have certain ingredients on my sandwich that already comes with the sandwich to begin with just bc I wanted to add an additional topping. It was rude and unprofessional. She shouldn't assume. She said it would take 15 minutes to get my sandwich and it took about 20 minutes. There was a really long wait because there was a really long line of people ordering drinks and dessert. So come early to avoid the long line! But it was definitely worth the wait! The sandwich was super warm the bun was warm and semi-crunchy and it had sweet and tangy pickled carrots and cucumber, sauteed onions, a little bit of bell pepper, cilantro and the avocado that I paid extra for. I got the lemongrass chicken and it was well seasoned. You can actually taste the lemongrass, the chicken thigh was chopped up into chunks, was warm and tender, perfectly cooked, not too chewy and it wasn't overly salty. It was perfectly seasoned! I really like the taste of the pickled veggies at the added to the sandwich as well. It was $13 with tax. I'm really glad I got the lemongrass chicken banh mi and it went excellent with the avocado I added! I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of their sandwiches. They have a steak and egg sandwich that looked really good and they also have a rib eye sandwich too. In terms of the ambience there, not much seating and the tables are wobbly and there were food particles on the floor. I know it's busy there but the staff should still come out and wipe the tables down and clear the food crumbs food off the floor. At least sweep it once, it's not a good look for the restaurant when chunks of food/crumbs are on the floor. Overall, the sandwiches look appetizing I'll be back to try the rest! 🥪

First time visitor so I stuck with the smiley faces on the menu which represented the recommended Entrees. We had a group of 6 (heads up — 18% gratuity added for groups of 4 or more). Everyone got something different. The beef kimchi over rice was the best. The lemon grass chicken over noodles was flavorless & greasy. The Thai spicy shrimp over rice was way to sweet! No one even wanted to finish it. The portions were big but they matched the price point. The food came out in random raves. My appetizer platter came out last so I tried to cancel it because we already had a ton of food and I was told that I couldn’t. Overall, the customer service was bad. The food was just okay. But the beef kimchi was on point this night! The boba 🧋 was fantastic! No complaints there.

I will drive 30 mins for their drinks any day! The first time I went I order a smoothie from (JOY YEE, the food place) as there is two different places in the same plaza. I order the smoothie with tapioca balls. It was alright not a fan of their tapioca balls. The second time I went, I went to the actual JOY YEE PLUS. which is their drinks and desserts. There I had a fruit tea and it was delicious! The second I went I had a fruit smoothie with tapioca. For some reason they tasted different! Like more chewy. I also had a frozen yogurt ! Which is my favorite hands down !!

I really wish there was an option for no star, but there isn’t. The food was good, but the service was absolutely TERRIBLE, first we went up to the desk to asked for lemon for or water, they said okay, and then after 20 mins, they brought our first order up, but no sight of lemon anywhere, so we asked again. The waitress said “oh we don’t sell lemons” So you could have told us the first time we asked, but ig not, whatever. Then, after we finished the first dish they brought us, the second dish came and we asked them if they could take the first one away bcs it was tall and in the way of everyone. But they just said “no we can’t” very quietly and WALKED AWAY??? so we were just confused and asked again when they came with our third dish, and this time they were like “its too hot”. Oh, so you are saying you can’t just grab gloves and take this away even when ur customers asked you twice and moved it themselves when “it was too hot”??? that is absolutely ridiculous. Then, after we were finished with the third dishes, which was 45 mins after we ordered but thats fine bcs great food are always worth the waiting. But they came to clean up our table so we were like “emmm where is our last dish” and she looked at us weird and said “what fourth dish, yall didn’t order another one”. She said we did’t order one, throwing the blame to us with ATTITUDE instead of apologizing for forgetting one of our orders. So we were like you know what, wtv thats fine. I got up to go the restroom, the floor was SUPER slippery right behind where I was sitting, and there WERE little kids in there, I almost fell, but wtv. The restroom door wasnt open, so I asked very nicely “hey, is ur restroom closed or is there som-“ “someone is in there” AND SHE WALKED AWAY? she didnt let me finish my sentence, and gave me an attitude and with an annoyed tone. If that’s not bad service,...

First of all, our day was long and the night was approaching. We decided to hit Chinatown for this adventure and turns out Night walking in Chinatown are the most astonishing and quiet, when you are having fun. Especially after having a big meal. The next thing in everyone's mind was dessert, and hunting for it became our priority number one. We decided to try something new and we were tired of boba tea. Our eyes came across Joy Yee Plus, We haven't had the opportunity of trying this place yet and it look modern with all the anime characters that we knew painted on the wall so we decided to give it a try. I ordered The ice cream with the waffle: Cookies and cream. Nothing too fancy. It took about five minutes to get my order but once i got it i was shocked for the surprise i got delivered. i was expecting a small dessert, but what i got was a 12 inch masterpiece, a cup filled with wonders. Vanilla Ice cream, covered in Oreo crumbles with two full Oreos in top with a crispy marshmallow impale with a banana pocky, submerge in hot fudge and everything tucked, wrapped in a protective and perfect bubble waffle. Perfection in front of me but nonetheless good and yummy. We had one thing in our minds and ice cream from Joy Yee Plus was the perfect dessert with the flawless combination of ingredients to end the perfect night. I look forward...
