I visited BG Gift Shop after seeing a TikTok recommendation, and they exceeded all my expectations! My daughter and I were warmly welcomed and introduced to everything Sarino, and to top it off, we even received a free pen. The quality of their products is outstanding—they truly have something for everyone. The shop is a one-stop destination for all your needs. The owner was incredibly kind, generous with her time, and showed great patience. This has been my favorite experience in Chicago so far! A huge thank you to everyone at BG Gift Shop. I highly recommend checking them out for quality products and exceptional service!

The proportions, colors, features, everything was very clearly fake. I went back in and asked if they were authentic and the owner or whoever looks at me and with a very aggressive yet confident tone says “Of course they’re fake!!” I am standing there so stunned and she sticks her finger out and points to a sign that said no refunds and basically chased me out. Don’t ever buy from here.

With their grand opening yesterday, it was a busy day here at the gift shop! True to its name, they sell anime figurines, plushies, cups, plates, posters, bags, and more! Sanrio and anime items are everywhere you look, and the wide selections of keychains are plentyful. Located on the lower level of Chinatown Square Plaza. Karan was very kind and welcomed everyone to the store. She kept saying stop by, even if you don't buy anything, come say hi! It was a nice atmosphere and a nice time.

I had a really uncomfortable experience at this store in Chinatown. As soon as I walked in, the woman at the front counter kept staring at me and literally followed me around the aisles like she assumed I was going to steal something.

I was just trying to browse, but she stayed right behind me the whole time, giving me dirty looks and making me feel like I didn’t belong there. She never greeted me, never asked if I needed help, just watched me like I was a problem. It was rude, embarrassing, and honestly really hurtful.

Because of the way I was treated, I decided not to buy anything and walked out. There are plenty of other shops in the area where the staff are respectful and welcoming. I won’t be coming back here, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who expects basic respect...

Very unpleasant experience during my visit. Owner was rude and made me feel uncomfortable when a worker had me try on a backpack. Owner could’ve handled situation better instead of screaming at me saying I should not try backpack on with risk of potentially damaging item. On top of that I felt that the owner and other fellow workers were speaking behind my back with their native language without me knowing what they were saying about me. Not very mature of them, I think all customers deserve fairness and consideration at the very least. Do not shop here unless you want to be disrespected without you having to do anything to deserve...
