Harbor Freight — Attraction in Chickasha

Credit card machine was down (issue 1), didn't have a way to run cards without the machine (issue 2). Said I could write a check but then refused it because it was a temporary check. I asked them to please call the bank to confirm the check was good. Told them there was over $20K in account and they wouldn't do it (issue 3). "Against policy." I asked since there CC machine was down, could they please make an exception. The answer was, "no."

I own a business and if my CC machine was down and I didn't have a way to run it offline (which I do), I would not hesitate to call the bank and take the check. It was for $32 for goodness sakes. I've bought around $500 in merchandise at this store since they opened in Dec. but I won't be back.

Went to replace my auto darkening mask and instead left with a basic welder. I already have the welder in an older version but, for the money I just couldnt pass up the unit at 99 bucks regularly 129. I was going to buy the wire (10 bucks) and some more gun tips (10 bucks). All this was starting to add up and then I realized I'd be using it a lot so it made more since to buy all new. My older unit can run back up. GREAT DEALS AFOOT AT HARBOR FREIGHT. Although they do seem to be selling some higher quality tools now, Harbor Freight is still the bargain basement ... for inexpensive (many time cheap) tools. Any place that emphasizes extended warranties and service plans to this extent is not making their primary profit on actual tool sales... All that said - a great place to buy low priced hand tools, and probably some newer lines of power tools, but the professional is still probably better off with DeWalt in...
