Credit card machine was down (issue 1), didn't have a way to run cards without the machine (issue 2). Said I could write a check but then refused it because it was a temporary check. I asked them to please call the bank to confirm the check was good. Told them there was over $20K in account and they wouldn't do it (issue 3). "Against policy." I asked since there CC machine was down, could they please make an exception. The answer was, "no."
I own a business and if my CC machine was down and I didn't have a way to run it offline (which I do), I would not hesitate to call the bank and take the check. It was for $32 for goodness sakes. I've bought around $500 in merchandise at this store since they opened in Dec. but I won't be back.
