Portuguese American Club — Attraction in Chicopee

Probably the worst place I’ve ever hosted an event. Paid a month in advance to rent out the hall for 8 hours, and for soda and juice to be included in the price. Day of my wedding I get there at 10am to set up the decorations. Leave my event starts at 3pm to 12pm... or at least that’s what we arranged when I signed a contract with “Joe” the manager of the hall. There was only ONE bartender... I had over 125 adult guests at my wedding, (Not to mention he was still charging my guests for beverages like soda and juice EVEN THOUGH WE ALREADY PAID FOR IT. The line was ridiculous to try to get a drink although I was told I would be getting 2 bartenders. Then, the night of the event the manager “Joe” pulls my mother aside and tells her we only rented the hall from 3pm till 8pm... gave us until 10pm to clean up everything and leave. It was the worst experience and the most unprofessional situation I’ve ever found myself in. I would never recommend this hall to anyone else and I would certainly never host another event here again. Such a...

I called 3 times this morning to try to book a sweet 16 but I got hung up on all 3 times. So I called again this afternoon, a girl picked up and I notified her about it and basically didn't care. Well I also told her the reason why I was calling and she told me to call the manager or whatever he was. I called him and he said they don't book sweet 15 or 16 parties anymore. Would of been nice if the employees new so they can notify those who call or at keast add it on...

We came here from Middletown N.Y. (LAMA MIDDLETOWN) for an event held by the Holyoke Chapter of L.A.M.A. 😎 The banquet is huge, had a big bar. It was clean, the staff that was handling the bar was great. It was clean, spacey,,, just a great place to hold an event ! Hope LAMA HOLYOKE does the event in the same place again.
