It was not the usual Resteraunt experience as the day was Easter and tables were grouped together for families and there was a buffet with cash bar optional. The place was festive with mylar balloons and felt like spring each table with a clean table cloth and dinnerwear. The selection of food was diverse and ample. The warm foods were kept that way. I did not try all the offerings including the sliced ham and lamb. I am Polish so am pretty picky about my kielbasa, pierogi and galumki, all offered. I found the kielbasa more like a meat sausage and the mushroom pierogi dough dry and the cabbage of the galumki very good but the filling bland. I left most on my plate. They did have a breaded patty that was very, very good though. Their dessert table was filled and constantly restocked with cakes with whipped cream to spoon on the side. I tried on of the chocolate cakes and found it very good, especially paired with topping of whipped cream! The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The room clean and attractive. I did not use the facilities so cannot comment on that. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and I would go there again for a dinner meal.

You come here for the beer. Well, that's only, of course, if Bavarian style beer is what you are looking for. I will start by saying that I first read the food menu and found the choices enticing, so I decided to have dinner too. I ordered the pretzel coated scallops. The scallops itself were cooked well. It was the mustard sauce that was too strong. Perhaps if it was simply drizzled on, it would not have overpowered the scallops. My entree was the Apricot Breast of Duck. I imagined a crunchy skin with juicy breast meat, and it only had the latter. Still, the meat was good. Unfortunately, the apricot glaze was too thick, and just like the scallops, stole the show from the duck. Too bad, i think. It could have been so much more. Still, I enjoyed the soup of the day and the beer. I chose a half liter of Andechser Weissbier Dunkel. It was definitely malt forward, had a very creamy head, was dark and dense, and had banana and wheat flavors. My preferred style of beer.. almost a meal to itself. It was perfect with the accompany of salted potato chips and rye bread.

A companion and I visited on a Saturday lunch time, in order to use up some gift cards we had been given, to find the restaurant very lightly busy. The hostess and waitstaff were absolutely phenomenal (and adorable in their outfits!). They got everything about our orders 100% right and went above and beyond the call to make us comfortable. No need to ASK for bread and butter, they offered, and they immediately responded to requests for refills or a reheat of my tea water. They also answered all questions about the menu and the items on it. The biergarten was beautiful and clearly well tended (and this coming from someone who spent years working at a garden center so I know a hard-worked garden when I see one). The interior was clean and comfortable, including the ladies room. Unfortunately, I had a less impressive experience with the food. I came hoping for honest-to-goodness galumpki and pierogis, which I have not had (other than frozen ones from a grocery store, which don't count) since my Polish grandmother passed away. They have many platters and combo dishes on their menu but none that included just these two items so I ordered each from the individual appetizer menu, instead. My companion order the wiener schnitzel with goulash, steak fries and the seasonal vegetable (mixed squash and carrots). Everything meant to be hot was only luke warm at best: my tea water, the vegetables, the goulash, the galumpki and the steak fries. The vegetables were also overcooked. The steak fries were not crispy, as we would have preferred, and the goulash only had two pieces of beef in it, though the spicy-hearty taste of the tomato base was otherwise nice. Had it been properly heated it would have been more enjoyable. The biggest disappointment was the pierogi. The waitress brought to my table not a plate of real, sauteed and boiled cheese-and-potato pockets of goodness, but potato-and-cheese fritters. They had been fried and served attractively with sour cream. I'm sure they would have tasted fine to someone into that sort of thing but that was NOT what I had ordered. I had come to place meant to be an authentic eastern European restaurant for an authentic eastern European dish. Having hoped so strongly to find real pierogi again, I was, admittedly, crushed. The waitress saw my horror and kindly took it back and omitted it from our bill, bless her. The galumpi tasted very good, though, and my companion heartily enjoyed the rye bread we were served, although it didn't look any different than a store-bought loaf to my eyes. One more positive note, they serve a bowl of thick-cut, possibly house-made potato chips with a side of thick, rich (also house-made?) onion dip as an appetizer. Those did taste wonderful! One other item worth noting, the gift cards we had have stickers on them clearly labeling "Not valid on alcoholic products". We didn't really care one way or another, but why have gift cards that can't be used the same as cash? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

The bottom line: I would happily return to this restaurant to spend a good time in a great atmosphere with family and friends but I would stick to...

Went to the Thanksgiving buffet. Was unbearably hot in there! Tables were crammed too close together. The crackers and cheese table, with fruit and shrimp, was the best part. Food was awful. The carving station with turkey and prime rib was ok, but prime rib was very rare. After 1:00 they should have stopped serving scrambled eggs and sausage. That is strange. Replace it with vegetables! There were NO vegetables at all, except for sweet potato! There was not even salad. I was looking forward to the perogie, until I found out it wasn't cabbage and it was deep fried. The goloumpki was strange tasting, mushy and not like any i've ever had. I only ate the cabbage. The were no mashed potatoes! That was surprising! The fish was dry, pork was extremely dry. Is it necessary to have turkey, prime rib, pork, chicken AND fish??? Yet no mashed potatoes or veggies? The waitstaff was not very attentive. Never came back to see if we needed more soda or juice. When we requested coffee, she said ok, but never came back and we had to ask again. The tip was added on which was a joke because there is no way they deserved that much. It's definately overpriced especially for kids who hardly eat anything. They only ate one scoop of the ziti and sauce! Even the adults hardly ate anything because the food was so terrible. One small take out container should be given per table to take dessert home, since after eating it's hard to have dessert. Most people like to wait. So we had to skip that! Would never go to a Thanksgivings buffet there...

First let me start im a Chef born and raised in Germany i made my apprenticeship there and came here 25 years ago. I was very excited to finally try the Munich Haus i tried all the other German Restaurants around here and none of them is worth coming back in my opinion. So we got there, the place was packed, we got seated right away what was nice, our waitress wasn't very pleasant i have to say. We ordered the baked Camembert, what we got was atrocious 12 small pieces of cheese no garnish no nothing on a plate with a Napkin and a 2 oz plastic cup with what i assume was Honey Mustard. for $11 dollars what is clearly not justified. We ordered 3 Schnitzel and the Special Rouladen all meals come with Soup, Salad and two sides . My wife and I liked our salads the Onion soup was OK. The Schnitzels weren't crisp or Golden Brown, The Rouladen were tough and the Gravy was a brown gooey mess on the Rouladen and on the Hunter Schnitzel. The Mashed Potatoes I'm pretty sure were from a box and if not they were the worst Mashed Potatoes I ever had. The Spaetzle were also nothing to write home about. We finished the meal with a Apfelstrudel which was good. All in all it was a huge disappointment because nothing we ate that night should have been called German it was actually a disgrace to...
