On 6/27/25, Friday afternoon around 4:00 pm, I needed help for a Home Depot employee to pull 4 12’X8’ treated lumber planks that were way up on the very high shelves needing the use of a ladder to reach.
I arrived down the end of isle 23 where the wood planks were that I needed. I noticed that they were way too high for me or anyone to reach, so I definitely needed some assistance.
So I looked for a Home Depot employee that could help me. Now keep in mind as on a side note I’m 72 years old and have been loyally shopping at Home Depot for many years and have always had 100% of the time experienced the best customer service from whoever I asked for help on the sales floor, that person usually immediately would assists me. Today, 6/27/25, I unfortunately experienced the worst customer service from the Home Depot person named Bihn. Bihn was the first employee I saw on the floor walking towards me on isle 23, as he was passing by he did see me but did not acknowledge me so I nicely I asked him for help. He then hollered at Dave a distance away down the isle to get his attention because he was occupied flagging Rigo, the forklift driver. Bihn told Dave to help me and Dave nicely told Bihn that he was occupied but as soon as he was done he would help. Dave also recommended to Bihn that maybe he could find another employee to help to keep me from waiting. Dave agreed and said that he had no phone but will go and call Robert to help me. During that whole conversation between Dave and Bihn, it was quite obvious to me that Bihn for whatever reason did not want to help me and was not occupied. It was also obvious by his body language when he first did not acknowledge me as he was passing by me while I was looking directly at him wanting help. After the conversation, Bihn started walking towards the front and kicked some trash on the floor isle under the shelves and did not seem to be too enthusiastic about calling for help. Because of that I followed Bihn to make sure he called for help. Bihn in fact tended to a couple of other duties moving a couple of shopping carts to other locations. Bihn finally called on the intercom asking for Robert. Bihn then as if in a hurry, told me to be patient and left never to be seen again. I roamed around the isles looking for a Robert without any luck.
Now, Dave was my hero and the perfect customer friendly Home Depot employee that I have always been used to for years past. Dave noticed that I was still standing in the same location where I had asked Bihn for help and although he was still occupied flagging The forklift driver he told me to wait a couple of minutes and he and Rigo will help. Both Dave and Rigo ceased the forklift work and loaded my flatbed cart with the lumber I needed. I heartily thanked them for their help so I could go about the rest of my shopping.
I decided that the store manager should be aware of this type of poor customer service and hopefully address the complaint with Bihn and more importantly commend Dave for taking the lead to help me.
I found Toby whom was the check stand supervisor and very busy helping customers. As soon as he was done assisting the customers he immediately came to my assistance. I simply told Toby about my complaint and hoping that he informs the store manager so that he would address this issue with Bihn.
I also told Toby that I wanted to compliment Dave on his spectacular customer friendly service hoping that the store manager gives him recognition in good standing for his...
Read moreI am so disappointed in my experience at this South Chino location of Home Depot. They totally ruined Father’s Day. I really wanted to surprise my dad on Father’s Day with the best gift ever by getting him the stainless steel propane gas burner grill by NexGrill. Because the measurements of the grill showed it would not fit in my car, I Ordered NOT ASSEMBLED on June 14 with curbside pick up so the employees could place it in my car since I was alone. I Got there at 9:30am on Father’s Day (June 19). I was so excited to give the grill to my dad at our Father’s Day celebration later that day and checked in on the mobile app. A Car pulled in front of me and received his order in about 5 minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting, I rolled down my window and told the employee I had been waiting forever to receive my item. He asked if I was there for the grill. I said yes. He said, “oh one of the ladies said it was already brought out. I’ll go get it for you.” He and another worker came to the car with an assembled grill. As I stated when I purchased the grill, this is not what I asked for because it was assembled. I told them this and they said this was the last grill in the store smh. To make matters worse, It looked like the floor model. It Was dirty, dusty, had the advertising price tag flyer on it and everything. So the employees realized the grill was too big for my car as I already knew it would be. I had to remove my 2 car seats and strategically place them in the front seat while the employees had to try and take parts off of the grill to make it fit. This was a whole mess because now I had to leave and pick up my sister’s kids which caused me to be late and I had to reinstall the car seats.
Home Depot I don’t understand why you couldn’t have found me a brand new grill in the time ordered til’ when I picked up because you had 4 days. There’s a lack of communication with your team which had me waiting for 30 minutes only to bring me a used grill which I paid full price for. How does that make sense. I highly suggest no one go to this Home Depot especially if you’re trying to get an important present for...
Read moreA few weeks ago my employee accompany my elder costumer into the store to purchase a refrigerator. After spending some time in there my employee went to gather a few items he needed while the elderly costumer and the woman at appliances finished the paperwork. In that time the lady at appliances took it upon herself to tell my costumer she was been ripped off by my company, she told my costumer that her husband was a gen. Contractor and he could do the remodel work for six dousand dollars , that we were taking advantage of her. She said a lot of lies to my costumer with out any knowledge of the work I was doing while promoting her husband s business. My employee ask the elderly costumer not to purchase anything that day , to go home and think about it before she made any decisions based on what the appliance worker told her. I went in to the store later that day and ask to speak with the manager, the manager agreed with me and said her worker was out of line and admitted to have witnessed earlier when my worker and my costumer were talking to the lady in appliances, it stood out to her seen the older lady in tears. She reassured me that the worker from appliances would no be allowed to have any dealing s with my costumer. Nothing was done about it, she was allowed to still deal with my costumer. Her actions and false accusations costed my dousands of dollars. I charge premium prices for my work. My reputation allows me to charge premium. I have lots of costumers willing to pay my price for myhigh end work. My business and price are between my costumers and me. I spend hundreds of dousands every year at home depot. I'm not a average costumer. I expected better from home depot. I will be reaching out to corporate in this matter as well as take legal action for my loss. If your a Gen contractor, home Depot doesn't have your interest in mind when they hire pochers and allow them to establish their own...
