Dogs are allowed on the trail. If you don't carry your own doggy bags with you, make sure you grab a few at the start of the trail (there are some free ones) since there aren't any further down the path. There was unfortunately a lot of dog poop along the trail. There is cactus all along the path, and several small pieces have fallen off or been broken off, so be careful if bringing your dogs(or kids) I though I was watching my dog close enough, but she stepped on a penny sized piece and got the thorn in her paw.
