Discovery Park is relatively nearby, which makes it easy to walk to. Generally, the park is clean of trash and hosts a statue harboring benches you can sit on. There are also softball fields towards the second half of the park which warrants plenty of attention, especially in the night. However, while the grass is green, the sanitation could use some work. The bathrooms are riddled with grime and countless used tissues on the floor, which made it obvious that no one was maintaining this part of the park at all. Read more(Nov 2020) Love the serenity feel of the park!! Been here frequently to get some R&R in our RV. Tucked away from main streets yet easy to get to, near H street and the YMCA. It's a dog walker's perfect place to go. Family friendly.
