I usually order chipotle online once a week after soccer practice for me and my family. Last week, The brown rice in our chicken bowls was undercooked this week, The brown rice in our chicken bowls was almost completely uncooked, and it was inedible. I tried using the app I ordered from to resolve this issue to no avail. This forced me to head into the store to seek a solution. The manager there told me to call the phone number provided online to resolve the issue because she had no way of refunding anything. I expressed to her that the online phone number did nothing but lead you in circles over and over again until you wanted to pound your head against a wall instead of finding a solution. I in fact, called the number with her and showed her how the online phone number only led you in a circle and never allows you to make any comments or complaints or find any resolution to any issues. She gave me the phone number to her manager. I called him and as of yet, I still have no resolution and no refund. I left all my food that I ordered at the store and cautioned them against eating it as it wasn’t inedible. Hopefully, I will update this post in the future with a resolution to my problem. UPDATE So, after speaking with the general manager, Daniel that night, he assured me that he would call me back the next day which he did not. I phoned him back after work. Danielle assured me that refunds were available through the online mobile app. I assured him that they were not. Daniel assured me that I could call a phone number and get my issues resolved. I assured him that the phone number was for online ordering only. He said that he would look on the app and he asked if it was OK if I called him back in 30 minutes or so and maybe we could walk through the process together online through the app. I’m not very hopeful that this will get resolved today or in fact ever. It seems that chipotle doesn’t do refunds which is odd. I’ve even had a refund from Disneyland. They claim that they don’t do refunds either, but I got refunded more update. Read moreThis afternoon I went to pick up my food that I had ordered online, I went to the counter, stated my name and asked for my food. I asked for additional lettuce for my protein bowl and the man said he could only give me a condiments cup worth of lettuce- fine 😩 No one welcomed me to the store, the lady at the register looked as if someone had farted in her face (she had the most UNPLEASANT disposition). She grimaced the entire encounter. Then the man asked if I had picked up my food from their store 😒 I said I'm here to get it now - confirmed the address on my phone- and showed him, that the app said the food was ready. Then he asked to see if I had ordered from that store (already showed him), showed him again. Then I pointed out my food on the shelf behind the counter. He defensively handed me my food, and kinda shooed me along. No, the store was not busy and there wasn't a line. I get home and my double protein was only a single and they used the wrong chicken flavor. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CHIPOTLE LOCATION. Unfriendly staff, poor customer service and messed up food. I visited the Chipotle location in Chula Vista, CA, and was thoroughly disappointed with the state of the restaurant. Upon entering, I was greeted by a scene of disorganization and neglect.
Tables were littered with leftover food and dirty, with no apparent effort to clean them. Chairs were scattered haphazardly throughout the restaurant, many of which were also dirty. The soda dispenser was malfunctioning, making it difficult to get a drink. To make matters worse, there were no straws or lids available for soda cups. The menu was also incomplete, with no lemonade or watermelon drinks available (as shown in the attached picture).
Overall, my experience was marred by a lack of attention to detail and a general sense of disarray. I hope the management takes steps to address these issues and provide a cleaner, more welcoming environment for...
