I love love looooove DEFINE! Each time I visit Cincy, I make it a point to get my workouts in at DEFINE! I literally do all I can to get there when I'm in town, they're that good. Now let me tell you why: They have these cool blue medicine type balls on the bike that add a layer of intensity and balance while engaging your core and your triceps! Like who knew having a ball on the bike would be such a game changer!? I've been to a lot of spin studios and it's the only one that I've ever seen actually have a ball on the bike (between the handlebars). YES ABS!
And if spin classes aren't your vibe, not to worry! They offer barre and bounce classes too... in a separate room! That's right! This place has multiple rooms for each fitness experience, and there's no audio bleed over! The bounce classes are great for anyone looking for a super fun, but very intense cardio workout without the impact on the joints... which is great for me (former gymnast).
The instructors are just friggin terrific! Like seriously. They are so warm and friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and included. I think I've taken a class from every instructor now, and they are all so dang good, each with their own vibe, but it's clear they put their playlists together with intention.
The studio is modern and clean, the instructors are supportive and inspiring, and the community atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive. I have taken body, bounce, rev, and yoga classes with different instructors (though I haven't had all the instructors yet) and every one is really nice and encouraging and actually care about you. They often ask if there is anything anyone wants to work on in particular or if you're having any issues and they tailor it a bit to you (how much kind of depends on how many people are in the class but it's still great!). Online schedule of classes makes it really easy to sign up and each class has a description of the class and usually a bio of the instructor too. I buy packages and the passes expire after over a year, so basically they don't expire bc it's almost guaranteed I will use it before then and I travel a lot so I come here when...

As an asthmatic who spent their adult life (up to this point) only walking, swimming, or bicycling for low endurance exercise, each of the three class types has positively changed how I trust and use my body (and lungs). More importantly, the classes are a welcome physical and mental challenge that always leave me more fulfilled than when I walked in the door.
The instructors bring their personalities (and typically a great playlist) along with variety of workouts - complacency is not in Define’s vocabulary.
EVERYONE in the space is welcoming and engaged with the studio’s purpose. The classes start and end on time, which is a bonus.
