Nice park. Very quick, easy access to the river front and boat launch. Kids had fun searching for tiny clam shells and making rafts out of drift wood. We see people fishing here, dogs taking a swim, and small boats and paddle boards. Beautiful view of Newburgh and a short stretch of the Hudson. Down side for the beach part... skeletons. We found a lot of bones of animals, including a batwing that still had the skin between the bones. That was a little ick, but also part of nature, so what can't be too bothered by that. The biggest problem, as it always is, is people leaving trash and glass bottles broken on the shore. If you want to walk in the water I suggest water shoes so you don't cut your feet. Parking here has been pretty good. There is a trail that connects with a few others in the area so you can spend a good chunk of the day exploring different aspects of the park. Well...

This is an absolutely beautiful riverside and an excellent source of river glass once you get further down the trail and away from the more rocky/slab filled shore. There are many fallen trees and rocks to explore and sit on. Parts of the trail area are easier to walk on, just avoid the steeper inclines. There are multiple places near the docks to take photos across the river and of the sky. It is such a peaceful place. Portapotties available but no sanitizer. There are navigational signs and maps in both English and Spanish. Plenty of trash cans by the main area and space to picnic. There is a parking lot between the trail and the office building. Many people also seem to fish here although signs caution that the crabs and fish in the water are dangerous. Dogs allowed but per signs must be kept on leash. Plenty of grass and space for them to runI will definitely...

Long Dock Park is an absolute gem! I recently visited and was amazed by the stunning views of the Hudson River. You can see for miles, and the sunsets are incredible.

However, it’s not just the views that make this park special. The trails are well-maintained and ideal for either a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk. They wind along the waterfront, providing different vantage points and opportunities to connect with nature. I loved the feeling of being surrounded by such natural beauty.

Whether you’re looking for a peaceful place to relax and take in the scenery, a spot to stretch your legs and get some exercise, or simply a beautiful outdoor location, Long Dock Park is the perfect choice. I highly recommend...

This is a pleasing little park to take a walk in or to admire the river or the wildflowers. There is a dock that goes out to the Hudson and you can fish there or simply sit and admire the river. When I was there there was a man with several poles out in the water who didn't speak much English, but he managed to tell me he was fishing for carp. You can stay on the paths or you can leave the unpaved paths and get right down next to the river. There are no concessions; kayak rental starts in July, I think, but was closed the day I was there. There are no water fountains. The only bathroom facilities are porta potties.
