Nice park. Very quick, easy access to the river front and boat launch. Kids had fun searching for tiny clam shells and making rafts out of drift wood. We see people fishing here, dogs taking a swim, and small boats and paddle boards. Beautiful view of Newburgh and a short stretch of the Hudson. Down side for the beach part... skeletons. There are many fallen trees and rocks to explore and sit on. Parts of the trail area are easier to walk on, just avoid the steeper inclines. There are multiple places near the docks to take photos across the river and of the sky. It is such a peaceful place. Portapotties available but no sanitizer. There are navigational signs and maps in both English and Spanish. Plenty of trash cans by the main area and space to picnic. There is a parking lot between the trail and the office building. Many people also seem to fish here although signs caution that the crabs and fish in the water are dangerous. Dogs allowed but per signs must be kept on leash. Plenty of grass and space for them to runI will definitely...

They wind along the waterfront, providing different vantage points and opportunities to connect with nature. I loved the feeling of being surrounded by such natural beauty.
