A1 is attached to the Taj Tandoor restaurant. I believe it is run by the same family, which would make a lot of sense as they already import Indian ingredients for the restaurant.
They stock all kinds of speciality Indian ingredients. Ponni rice, paneer, curry leaves, snacks and ready to eat products like Parle G, hide and seek, Maggi, Ching's, Haldirams, MTR, coconut flakes, mint, coriander, naan, chappatis.
On Saturdays, they cut fresh halal meat. If you go by midday, I hear, they have the freshest cuts. The (younger?) son is usually at the counter serving customers. He's very helpful and suggests great substitutions when you can't find the exact ingredient you need. They also carry onions, tomatoes, chilies, garlic, ginger and a few other seasonal veg from India.
