Went to skate with a friend today and I got hockey skate rentals. First ones were too big, my mistake, so I got the right size. Went to walk out to the ice and my ankles nearly snapped. If I couldn’t walk on the mats with them, i surely couldnt skate on them. I go to get better ones and I tried to explain that they were worn out and dangerous to wear, and the girl just looked at me and said “okay well can you take them off?” with the worst attitude. I got new skates which were a tiny bit better, but were still folding at the sides. I go back and asked for new ones, and they gave me the same dangerous ones I had before! They didn’t remove them from the shelf and were going to let another person rent them out! I expected way better from this place and I expected them to take better precautions when it comes to customer safety. Us skaters don’t pay to break our ankles. I highly recommend getting your own skates because they clearly don’t care about your safety at...

After purchasing are tickets and rentals, they then told us at the rental window that they didn’t have our sizes. We then proceed to go to the front window to see about a refund. The lady at the window doesn’t say anything in confusion, when the young man in the back stands up and proceeds to say “there’s nothing we can do for you” because the lady at the window never gave us a receipt let alone asked us for one and I never seen one even printed. Then they proceed to give us free vouchers to come back? SMH!! Terrible...
Read moreCorning New York had a free event for ice skating and a movie following today. This was the first time that I have ever seen of a free community outreach. Five stars all the way. Everybody was able to have skates even with the amount of people that showed up. I really like this place because they even have staff that is out on the ice making sure everybody is okay and helps them out if they fall. Very nice staff inside at the counter also. This was definitely different than the free community outreach Elmira New York had at the arena. There was barely a wait time in line to get space and to get out...
