Please re-read his entire review as I edited it to show that the entire problem lies with the new Manager at this Franchise. Thanks
I am very sad to write this bad review for Farmers Home Furniture in Clarksville, but they most certainly earned it. First let me say that I am not only their neighbor (Right behind the loading dock). I am also an employee right next to them in the same plaza. Furthermore I have done some landscaping near their loading dock that is nice to the eye for customers. (Not asked for, or paid to do) I am also on a first name basis with the staff. All that being said........ After purchasing a lawn mower and weed eater 2 months ago on credit. both are beat up pretty bad already and at their prices not close to being paid off. I went to them and asked what might be done about it and was told that since I did not get their expensive and in all other cases of my 55 years unnecessary warranty. They could not help me..... WOW!!!!! I know these guys personally and work next to them!!! Be forwarned that this is who you are dealing with... I will pay for the garbage they sold me. I will never buy anything from them again and I urge you who are reading to beware. Remember they know me well and did this. What chance do you have????????????????????????????????? Sorry I had to write this. IO am not angry... Just very disappointed. I don't think that anyone else should have to deal with this. I don't know if the furniture is any better, but the lawn care equipment is overpriced junk.
I would like to say that after reading my review it appears that I have neglected to say the the problem does not lie with the employees that I spoke of knowing on a first hand basis. I apologize to all of you for letting it look like I meant that. The entire problem lies with the new Manager at Farmers Home Furniture. She is the one who would not even leave her office to speak to me personally. She is the one who dismissed me without even showing the decency to try to make me believe she cared for one small moment. She is the one who would not deal with a common customer and his needs. Everyone else at the store as continued to show concern and care and offered to try o make things right as well as apologizing. The Manager has from the beginning done absolutely nothing except alienate me from the Farmers Home Furniture Franchize. f she had cared enough about a customer (as is her job) to deal with the problem one on one perhaps there may have been a different outcome.
So Corporate Headquarters if you are reading this please place the blame for this bad review exactly where it belongs. Right on the...
Read moreI’m not a customer. I’ve never purchased anything from this company. I’ve never personally received any item from this store. In April 2018, a houseguest who was moving into his own apartment bought a bedroom set using store credit. At some point he and the company had some issues about him not paying, which had nothing to do with me. On several occasions the credit manager, Patrick, showed up at my house to collect debt. That seemed odd to me but debt collection wasn’t my concern. My concern was that he was showing up at my house, that I pay for, for a house guest that doesn’t live here. He was asked to stop but did not. I actually had to go into the store to tell him that he was harassing my family and I wanted him to stop popping up at my house. He had the nerve to try to argue that my address was what was listed on the initial application FOR SOMEONE ELSE. While I understood that, the person they were dealing with was not a resident of MY home. I asked and told him that I didn’t want anyone coming to my house because no one living there had business with Farmers. Apparently, he got aggravated with the whole thing and eventually told me that he wouldn’t show up anymore the next time he would take legal action and send someone to serve papers for nonpayment. I didn’t care because I’m not their customer. I let him know that I was recording the conversation (as proof that I asked him not to come to my home). Throughout the whole ordeal Patrick’s biggest concern was that I stated that after he was asked not to come to my home he sent a black guy. I did indeed tell him that I didn’t know what his purpose of sending someone else was and that I didn’t know if sending the black guy was suppose to be a scare tactic or make him more relatable because we are black as well. He was really bothered by the fact that I mentioned that the person that I saw on my security cameras from Farmers was black. I chuckled at him and let him know that I didn’t have to mention that he was the white guy showing up to my house because he himself knows that he’s white. The point was that after being asked not to come to my house he sent someone else. Since I didn’t see the person in the store to identify him, I said “you were asked not to come to my house so then you sent a black guy.” I won’t even take the time to go thru the discussion about them also placing things in my mailbox, which is a federal offense (yes, I contacted the postal service), These people are unprofessional in every sense of the word, especially to...
Read moreI went to Farmers Home Furinture in Clarksville and for the most part I had a great experience with a saleswoman named, Linda. Very kind and sweet spirited. I purchased the Heartland sectional that is seen when you walk in the store. I fell in love with it. The quality I would rate a 8/10. The cushions are very sturdy but comfortable. The furniture frame itself I'd rate 7/10 because the sides and back has very little wood. Because the cushions are so dense and heavy which I love, that's what gives the sectional most of the weight. When my husband picked it up he said how heavy it was, but once the cushions were taken out of the plastic and set to the side to set up the furniture, we realized it's the pillows that were so heavy. All in all I love the look of the Heartland sectional and hope it stands up for several years. As far as the price, it was affordable. After suggested sales like furniture protection and extra insurance that I felt wasn't needed, but my husband went along with it, we walked out financing a little over 1500.00 which was affordable to us. I'd probably go back because it's conveniently close to where I live. In my opinion their furniture is not the best in style and most of their furniture is dark and on the farm House style. So the name "Farmers Home Furinture" fits well. If you're on a budget and need easy financing I would recommend Farmers Home Furinture and ask for Linda, she's awesome!
1/20/25 I've had my Heartland sectional for 4 months now and thought it was time for a update. While I still love it, everything but the seat cushions are holding up firm. I spend a huge part of my day sitting on it my sectional. The issue is the cushions stay slouched for about 30 minutes after sittingon them. I sit on the end mostly so I have to switch my end seat cushions and flip them from time to time. I also recently read many reviews on Corinth furniture and it seems many customers has issues with the seat cushions breaking down quickly. While that is no fault of Farmers Home Furinture, the furniture company that manufactures this sectional may need to consider improving the longevity of the seat cushions. I give the seat cushions 4/10...
